I was hoping for something to give eneloops a run for the $, but alas these are not rechargeable. :-(

    • Eneloop Pro FTW! Can be a bit pricey and the faster you charge them the faster you kill them, which is why I notice the supplied charges on AMZN are A lot slower than I thought. You’ll never get 1000 cycles from Ni-MH. I know they say that but the AAA just don’t hold enough mAH for the tools. As you know the Ni-MH are 1.2V not 1.5V. We can only hope that battery recycling bin at ALDI is taking them to be recycled properly - I believe Woolies might have a similar bin?

    • thanks mike nice find i edited the post

  • I just wrote a whole piece where I was getting Energizer Max Plus Advanced in 24 Packs for AAA and 30 Packs for the AA for under $30 from Bunnings and I just checked, they’ve dumped all large 24 and 30 packs of the Advanced Plus Max and only have the standard Advanced Max and in those quantities and 16 packs look like might be the largest for Max Advanced Plus. Your closest Bunnings might vary.

    Very Disappointing.

As I said I was also getting them for under $30 ad well.

I figured I’d post it here in case someone needed a quantity of Advanced Max Plus at a good Price. This must have happened fairly recently. Maybe I bought too many before end FY23.

I believe Sparkies buy them all wholesale from one of the electrical wholesalers, maybe L&H?

Oh well, there goes that idea. The Advanced Max Plus is the only battery I use now, alas will have to find another source besides binning. You can get 16 packs there, but right now Woolworths is killing it. I was getting Duracell Procells for an excellent price but that dried up.

FYI, I go through quite a few AAA in various Home Automation sensors or CR2032s (however you need an angle grinder to get into the everyone proof button battery packaging, or a decent set of tin snips. Kidding….sort of.

Also have one or small battery powered tools that like to chomp on a more than an average amount of AAA and the lithium are too expensive,

    • what

  • No neg here or anything but surely Eneloop or IKEA equivalent with decent charger is far more environmentally friendly and cheaper in the long run?

Don't get me wrong I have a pack of emergency Energizers in the cupboard but that's only for emergencies, we always have eneloops charged and ready to go and they tend to work in everything.
