  • Doesn’t seem to work on V15 Submarine Complete. Is it on full priced items only?

    • You need to click the top checkout button not the bottom ones. Otherwise promo code field doesn't display.

    • Did you get it to work with V15 SubCom? Everything says the promo code should work except Dyson's checkout.

      • Code works now for v15s Subcom!

  • +1

Included in the box of this vacuum cleaner:

    • Dyson V8 Origin Plus vacuum
    • Motorbar Cleaner head
    • Combination Tool
    • Mini Motorised Tool
    • Docking station
    • Charger
  • Pity V8 Extra isn't included. I need a crevice tool and a mini motorised head or hair screw tool.

    • +8

The V8 Origin Extra is also the same price, but you lose the Mini Motorised Tool for the Crevice Tool and Mini Soft Dusting Brush.

You can get the Dyson V8 Extra from their eBay Store for $426.55 Delivered with code 'OCT5UPA' which includes the Hair Screw Tool and the Crevice Tool.

      • Yeah I know, I was hoping to get it here under $400 and take advantage of cashback :)

      • Thanks, got the V8 Extra from eBay using slightly discounted gift card, comes to $413.75.

    • What would one use the hair screw tool for? Is the mini head for cars?

      • I'm thinking cars, carpets, material lounge suites etc

    • Why is the RRP for Origin Plus more expensive than Origin Extra despite having less accessories?

  • +2

Max $100 in rebate. wishing to have another deal on Gen 5 Complete.

    • Would you try the Submarine Complete version? Which also has all attachments? Or not interested in trying the mop version? I’m in same bot with Gen5 but the Submarine has got me curious

      • +1

Try contacting them on FB and mention the click frenzy Dyson deal code which is shown on clickfrenzy website. They were able to place an order for me with extra 10% off. V15S Complete came to $1,214.10. I would have preferred to get this additional 10% from CR but it doesn’t work on v15s

        • Nice, thank you!

Very keen to hear your thoughts on the mop attachment once you’ve tried it out!

        • Does work on 15s you need to need to click the top checkout button not the bottom pay by cc or afterpay . Otherwise promo code field doesn't display. Once in payment section promo code field is displayed.

  • Anyone who has V8 origin plus, replaced the bin and how often?
My V6 bin clip always breaks, and the bin is now on the 5th one

    • +1

My V6 bin clip always breaks

I've owned the Dyson V6 Fluffy for over 5 years now and have never replaced the bin (battery on the other hand has been replaced twice).

      • The use case or my unit is a lemon. I am approaching the 8years mark on mine.
The more reason to replace I guess. Just like how much lighter the v6 is over the v8

      • Do you buy original batteries or generic?

        • +1

First replacement was still under warranty, so that was genuine. The second battery is now generic.

        • +1

i'd recommend getting a genuine battery. pricier for sure but definitely have lasted longer than generics for me. but i guess maybe i've gotten shitty generics, i dunno. you do you

  • +1

Any suggestions to help me choose between the V8 / V10 / V11? I'm not willing to spend $1,000 for the newer models. I mainly have tiles & carpet (no pets). I have an old DC25 for doing occasional vacuuming (Matress etc). So the cordless would only be for kitchen / regular floor cleaning.

    • +1

Go for the V8. I have a V7 and it does a good job

    • Yeah just get v8 that will meet your needs and more for sure

  • Cheers op. Was only discussing with the wife yesterday that we needed a new cordless vac.

    • +1

I have been discussing for months :D

      • +1

Haha finally came around for you then! Our dreame branded stick vac died recently so this is well timed for us. We have a Dyson barrel vac that’s great but it’s always handy having a cordless for quick cleans.

        • I agree. It is handy.
Her only concern is the weight of these Dyson cordless vacuums.
Also, still not decided which version we should go with 8, 10, 11, 12, 15 ??

  • Has anyone tried the adaptor which allows the use of power tool batteries? I have a V12 which doesnt allow the battery adaptor so thinking of downgrading to the V6/7/8.

    link to adaptor

    • The V6 doesn't have any smarts in the vacuum itself, just gets power from the battery via +/- contacts, so a battery Adapter should work fine, as long as your batteries have their own undervoltage/overcurrent etc protections.

    • +1

Yeah I have the adaptor and use it on my v6. It’s amazing and I just use it on full boost mode all the time.
Definitely recommend it. Something about the design of the vertical bin makes the filter clog a LOT less than the v10 which I also have. The 4mah bosch batteries work a lot better than the older 2mah batteries I have.

I am contemplating downgrading to v8 as well when v10 dies also.

    • OMGz this is exactly what I was hoping might be possible. I wonder if there's an adapter that fits Aldi's "Xfinity" batts. Can't see one after a quick search.

    • Didn't know about this. It'll be a game changer. Thank you

  • Thanks OP

  • Tried to order but was nowhere to put in coupon code (on my iphone)

    • At the payment step. There is a short sentence:” do you have a promotion code?” Click it and then you can type the coupon in. It is hard to found out indeed.

      • Thanks, ended up placing an order with 6% cashback so not to bad.

  • Just FYI. The 10% Cashback is expired yes.
Though, the coupon is still working and Cashrewards still has the 6% Cashback.

  • Thanks for the deal OP. Just to note Cashrewards seems to record sale for "$363.27" (and therefore cb of $36.32 pending), rather than of the higher pre-coupon amount

  • Bought a Dyson v8 years ago and was sorely disappointed with its power and battery. This year I bought the Wertheim evolution stick vacuum and haven’t looked back. As powerful as the Dyson v15 for only 2/3rds the price, but the parts seem to be higher quality.

    • Same disappointment with the battery. But it's al good now with Ozito batteries.

  • +1

    I paid $400 for a V8 animal 5 years ago…

  • These suck!

  • -1

Why are there V8 and V15 sold at the same time, that's 7 generations extra

    • V8 marketed as budget VS the top of the range V15.

      • So Is it actually exactly the same as the V 8 model sold however many years ago?

  • CR site says code valid till 26th @ 11:59pm. When attempting to use on Dyson's site "This code doesn’t look quite right. Please check and try again."

Confirmed item is not on the exclusion list.

  • I did some vacuuming yesterday at my parents house, I think their Dyson is a v10 maybe (or v8, not sure).
Noticed that you need to hold the trigger in constantly which becomes tiresome, especially if you are 80+ and have arthritis.

Apparently you can get aftermarket trigger locks but it seems like a bit of a crappy design choice by Dyson, it doesn't feel terribly ergonomic either. My parents have also put a shoulder strap on it, tied around the handle as they are afraid if they drop it on their hard floor it will break apart easily, I don't blame them as it's very top heavy. I've got a chorded upright Dyson and it's very thin plastic in parts.

    • The viomi a9 has on off toggle switch and works great

  • anyone able to let me know how long the v15 submarine complete should be able to serve me? trying my best to justify the price and it'd be my first dyson.

have a husky shedding like crazy, house is both tile and carpet. cheers

  • My $150 Vacuum cleaner from Kmart does a much better job!

  • Isn't Detect

  • What is the cheapest stick vacuum cleaner that has a hair untangling feature? Doesn't have to be Dyson
