ordered but my local bunnings said they are out of stock and they will replaced one with metal blade instead of this with plastic blade, is the metal blade better? any input?
Thanks in advanced!
All these mowers have metal blades. I think they maybe referring the outgoing steel deck mower. If so, that's a win for you as it is more powerful and has a wider cut as well as having a steel deck rather than plastic. Deck meaning the main body of the mower.
oh yeap just checked its the brushless steel deck lawn mower, still new to this lawn mower thing haha, thanks for the info, would the entire unit be heavier? what does brushless means?
That's an absolute bargain if they're offering to do that and you should buy it immediately.
It is about 4 or 5kg heavier from memory. Brushless means the motor has no brushes. IThey work through induction. Brushed motors apply the current to 2 opposed carbon brushes that directly contact the commutator, (the bit that spins) Consequently they do wear, but do do last a very long time.
For a little more basic info see my comment a few posts above.
Tell your local I am interested!!!!
Which suburb store
its the rockdale store, they would have updated the stock already I assume.
A bargain on top of a bargain. Nice one.
I bought one online then they messaged me to say they couldn't find the 1 they had in stock. They had one display unit there though (I assume that's the 1 that was showing as in stock) which they offered to me for $180 so I jumped on it.
Which store?
Sorry, I just saw this. It was Wagga.
is this product been replaced with newer version or something ?
Not sure. I think this was a price match for Aldi's special buy for last Saturday. .But i did notice this new model was listed on Bunnings site a few days ago. It looks similar, has a 10mm wider cut, same rotational speed but is $429.

I own this. It's fine. I wanted the steel deck one but it was sold out and I needed a mower that day. It stops sometimes on thick high grass, but will always restart easily and have another go. It's absolutely fine if you keep your lawn reasonably under control. It's much lighter than a steel mower and the telescopic handle can be lowered for storage if you want. It's nice and quiet compared with petrol.
My 4-year-old son loves to watch me mow the lawn, which is a safety issue. He's much safer with me having cordless because of the ability to take my hands off the lever to stop the mower instantly when he inevitably disobeys instructions to stay off the lawn. I'm much less nervous about it I would have been with my old petrol mower.
The 2x 18V Ozito cordless ecosystem is also fine. I've got a brushless line trimmer and some other tools that also use these batteries. Two of the tools came with a pair of batteries, so I have four and that's what you need. A good fast double charger came with one of them, and single chargers with the others, but for convenience I only use the double charger.
