Should work. There are various speeds to control the heat and also just do it from a distance if need be. I’ve got the Ozito equivalent and it’s great.

I got one of these last time they were this price, an absolute steal. I use mine for heaps of stuff, and while the adjustability is pretty course, it works well enough. Especially for $20 with all the accessories.
I'm guessing this would be good for getting charcoal/heat beads going quicker for cooking?
Anything that blows air would be better for that. The more oxygen the better.

Apologies, I'm a total tool when it comes to tools. I have a project in which I need to shrink wrap a bunch of rectangular-shaped plastic momentos. Is this what I need? Or will it be an overkill and melt the plastic?
