  • very cheap for a ryobi. really want to buy one, though already have a corded ozito which is much more powerful, but heavy….

however, it appears this ryobi one does have some design issues…

  • 18v? Wouldn't that struggle to cut through cheese (for an sds rotary drill)

    • +3

i have an ozito and makita 18v sds drill , it drills fine speed wise, if i had to do a lot of holes i would use corded as i like to save battery life but for a few holes the convenience of cordless. speed is more a matter of how many joules and hole diameter.

    • Nah, its perfect for drilling into brickwork

  • Was tempted to grab one as a light duty supplement to my corded Bosch Blue SDS but those reviews…😬

    • Im in the same boat.

Dont need it, but want one for the times when I do need a cordless SDS drill for small holes in masonry.

Me: But darling, it's on sale at half price…

Another one to the collection 😅

    • Yes same - those reviews are too hardcore . Will pass on this one

  • is it worth bypassing a hammer drill and going straight to SDS? purpose is for oddjobs around the house

    • I would say yes. I have a Milwaukee M18 Fuel hammer drill and while it does drill into brick, it does take a while.
I don’t drill into brick very often so I couldn’t justify a Milwaukee SDS drill but this discounted Ryobi SDS will be perfect.

    • I would say it's an overkill, but depends on how often you're going to drill in harder material.

  • can we use this to remove floor tiles?
