The Japanese Film Festival 2023 proudly presents this FREE series of rare 35mm film screenings of master filmmaker Kо̄ Nakahira’s works at ACMI in Melbourne.

This free program shines a light on Nakahira’s versatility across genres, a trait that would set him apart as one of the early transnational directors of the post-war era.

From the 2-5 November, ACMI in Melbourne will screen Nakahira's films:
