Edit: 6GB/128GB out of stock. 4GB/128GB still in stock.

Insane price on this Android tablet from Lenovo which is the Chinese version of the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus Gen 3 that was previously popular at A$222.23. The 6GB/128GB variant is only available in Blue, however you can get the 4GB/128GB variant in Blue or Grey for US$90.21 (~A$140.64) in the same listing.

Featuring Android 12 with Google Play (Android 13 recently released), 10.6" 2000x1200 display with 400nits brightness, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage (microSD support), Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 CPU, 7700mAh battery with 20W fast charging, USB-C, 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos, 8MP Front/Rear Camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.

  • Add "Bundle: 6G 128g" or "Bundle: 4G 128g" to the cart

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate, GST inclusive and 48pcs instock at time of posting.

Important: This one has been flashed with the M10 3rd Gen ROM instead of Lenovo's original Chinese ZUI ROM. While the reviews mention no unlocked Bootloader message on startup it will still likely have Widevine L3 instead of L1 resulting in not Netflix HD.

There's extensive discussion on xda-developers about this tablet with instructions on restoring Widevine L1 here. There's also custom ROMs including LineageOS and Evolution X, as well as TWRP and kernel sources available for devs.

I have a spare bedroom dedicated to OzBargain purchases.

Fraction of $250 as it should be. As I always say no computer, phone etc deserves more than $250. A brand-new ThinkPad should still be less than $250.

Gotta love AliExpress Choice. This store is run by Alibaba themselves and almost all my orders from them are quick.

  • AU$157.24 after tax?

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate

Important disclaimer right there. US$97.27 is A$151.64 with Mastercard. Setting AliExpress to AUD gives you the wrong rate. Paying in USD and letting PayPal do the conversion will result in the wrong rate too. Instead if you have a currency conversion free card, set AliExpress to USD, check out with PayPal, select card and click "See currency options" to bill the card in USD. Then you'll get the current rate.

Brilliant price, paid $260 like 3 months ago

  • Is this a good tablet? First time buying an Android tablet..

    • +1

Hardware and specs - yes. My notes below about the ROM is a bit of a downside as you're not going to get Widevine L1 DRM if you plan on doing some Netflix/Amazon/Disney+ HD streaming unless you do some tinkering. Otherwise the tablet is a good for light-medium gaming.

      • I am only planning to let my son watch YouTube and maybe Disney+ in the future. Does that mean it won't work with Disney+?
I wouldn't wanna spend time flashing it, though.

Thank you for the quick response!!

        • It'll still work with Disney+ but you'll get 720p HD resolution instead of 1080p FHD resolution.

          • +4

@Clear: I think that res is fine on a tablet

            • @x x: I agree. I've never had issues with quality on my 10ish inch tablet.

        • +2

It will work but it won’t be good quality. Video will be poor blurry pixilated. Buy something with L1 if you wants to use it for streaming. I bought without checking and then had to sell because of bad video quality on Netflix, Disney etc.

      • Also, it should have access to Play store right?

        • Yep Play Store out of the box.

          • @Clear: Ahh true, just read about the line 'M10 3rd Gen ROM', which explains to me it should be the same as if I am buying a Lenovo M10 Gen3 from local retailers, anyway. Cheers!

      • Sorry, one last question - does the Xiaoxin Pad share the same cases/covers as the M10 3rd Gen?

        • Yes

          • @Clear: Perfect! Just bought the blue one as gray was already gone. Thanks!

            • @beOson: Which case did you end up getting. On the lookout too.

  • that huge lot of fake 5 star reviews lol. good price though for a youtube/mp4 device

Is this oled? If it is, crazy good price!

    • No OLED.

Doesn't apply to this promo. The normal price stacked with that would still cost more.

  • Is the listing for Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad 2022 Tab - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005981402649.html?spm=a2… - any better?

    • +1

Better tablet but the "global ROM" they've opted to flash is dodgy, as it's from a completely different tablet. This causes performance issues and makes reflashing to the proper ROM much harder. Plus the dev community isn't as big as this deal.

This was the last deal on one with a legitimate ROM.

  • Got a 4/128. Can anyone recommend a good case to go with this?

    • I am also looking for a case. 😄

Edit: have found some case options but can’t figure out how to post the link without it being auto un published.

  • link is working, Thanks@Clear
very poor description though. 2k screen with 400 nits’ brightness but can’t offer L1/L3.13 million high-definition camera 8mp. Loading boot loader with data breach warning every time turns on bit annoying too. The good thing is very good battery life with quick charge. Keen to know more on those android upgrades/factory settings cause any damage/dead software?

    • +4

I think my description is perfectly fine. You don't get Widevine L1 DRM when the original Chinese ROM has been reflashed with the global ROM, so I've provided links on how to restore Widevine L1 DRM. You don't get a bootloader warning either according to reviews which means the bootloader is probably locked.

You can always spend a lot more to get the CN ROM Xiaoxin 2022 or the proper M10 Plus 3rd Gen linked in my deal with none of these issues. The cheap price comes at a cost ;)

      • Thank you clear, I was reffering to the sellers desription not yours. but That L1 DRM convinced me. ordered at $161.90 seems very reasonable price for branded tab.Cheers :)

  • 120 hz refresh rate is it?

    • +1

      only 60hz

  • I bought at $159 which isn't too bad

  • in stock, try to refresh blue 6g 128g… it will come out
    i bought one

    • x fingers. keeps going up for me. 161 to now 163

      • +1

promo code ot6..-$6 usd, it worked for me
not sure it is still working or not

  • 4G version still available for $131. Probably worth it as a media device. Great screen and speakers.

  • Can you watch netflix full resolution with this? One I bought last year Netflix only let me watch in SD.

  • Thank you OP. I’m going to enjoy mucking about restoring the firmware and getting play store on it 😁

    • I thought the OP said it has the Play Store out of the box?

      • That's correct. If it had the original CN ZUI ROM you'd just have to download it from the Lenovo app store.

  • LATE. But no regrets did not see OLED. My bad that's pro

  • Will this run Diablo Immortal with no lag / crash?

    • +1

Don't you have a phone you can play that on?

    • +1, keen to know this for the next discount if feasible

  • damn miss out :(

  • u nearly gave me a heart attack thinking it was the price for pro version lol

  • Thanks op I've missed out on this one but will keep and eye out for kids Xmas pressie.

  • This deal is back in stock. Just purchase for $154.79

  • Mine arrived today but it appears to actually be a Snapdragon 870 and 8GB of ram, is that possible?

    • Are you sure you didn't order the Xiaoxin Pad Pro from the other deal? If not they've massively massively screwed up and sent you the more expensive model.

      • Lol you are right, my bad oops
