This previously popular tablet is back on sale for a record low price and while the 2023 version is out already this version is arguably better due to the OLED 120Hz display, GPS and price. The other highlights include Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix HD, USB 3.2 with Video Out and the MediaTek Kompanio 1300T is a flagship CPU that performs on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 CPU.

If you're interested you can get it cheaper from this listing for US$225.28 (~A$350.51) if you choose "Color: Original Sealed". Be quick as there's only 5pcs left! Sold out.

Other features include Android 12 / ZUI (Android 13 / ZUI 14 via OTA), 11.2" 2560x1536 OLED display with 600nits brightness, HDR10+ & Dolby Vision, 128GB UFS 3.1 Storage (microSD support), 8200mAh battery with 30W fast charging, 4 JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and POGO pins for charging/keyboard.

For reviews Techtablets has praised this tablet with the downside being no headphone jack.

Please note: You'll want to order this tablet with the Original Sealed Chinese ROM due to there being no official Global ROM. Any seller that advertises a "Global ROM" has stitched together a ROM from another tablet resulting in an unlocked bootloader (risk of preinstalled malware), bad performance, no OTA updates, no Widevine L1 DRM and no fast charging. The CN ROM does not suffer from any of these issues.

Is this the cheapest OLED tablet?

    • +2

      Yes I believe so.

  • Whats the difference between this one and 2023 version? Can't see much of a price leap.

    • +3

      OLED

      • -5

I would wait for the OLED to go on sale

        • +24

Good thing you're in the OLED sale deal ;)

          • @Clear: Any difference in this and the 2023 model

            • +8

              @WwDesi: OLED

              • +3

@reactor-au: As mentioned above, I would wait for the OLED version to go on sale.

And as mentioned above, this is the OLED sale deal ;)

                • +4

@darkdinkum: any ideas when the OLED one is for sale, dont want to miss it

          • +2

@Clear: May have been a joking reference to Nintendo Switch deal conversations which go "I would wait for the OLED to go on sale".

            • +2

@Morven: I don't pay attention to Switch deals so that's probably why I didn't get the joke.

      • +1

They are using a compromised screen for the current gen?

  • +1

Shit I bought it for 400 last time. But it's so good. Highly recommend.

  • How is the gaming performance on one of these?

    • +1

Being on par with the Snapdragon 870 CPU it'll pretty much handle anything.

      • Thanks for that 👍

  • What does this mean:
    "Sweat Tips:
    1. Only Support English and Chinese , No Google in it ."
    No Play Store?

    • +9

You download and install Google Play from the Lenovo app market. It just can't ship with it installed in China so that's why.

      • Got it, thanks Clear.

      • I had to do something similar with my current Xiaomi tablet several years ago, to get the Google Play store. I can't recall the exact process.

'Little Rice' Xiaomi doesn't seem to be cool anymore. There haven't been any popular Xaiomi tablet/phone posts lately on Ozbargain.

    • No Google is a blessing in disguise.

  • Whats the difference between this and the Lenovo P11 Gen 2 ?

    • +3

Better/brighter OLED display, significantly more powerful CPU and bigger battery to name a few. That one is considered to be the Xiaoxin Pad Plus in China so it sits between the Xiaoxin Pad and the Xiaoxin Pad Pro (this).

    • Video out from USB C I think.

  • The cheaper listing has "global firmware" in the title, which you probably don't want, based on OP's description

    • There was the option for the Original Sealed that's now sold out.

    • +1

Bought the global firmware was easy enough to just flash it with the CN firmware myself

      • Is there a guide on this?

  • AU$382.27 including tax?

    • All good, change currency to usd

  • Great deal! Are there any pen options available? I can't seem to find any Lenovo Precision Pen 3 in stock on AliExpress.

      • +1

I own one of these tablets from a previous deal (about $90 more and no regrets) and got the impression that only the precision pen 3 will work based on reviews. E.g. many of the 1 star reviews in that link are from people with this tablet / P11 pro gen 2 who state it doesn't work for them.

Any deals on the precision pen 3?

      • Unfortunately, that pen is not compatible. Reddit/reviews/manual seems to say only the Precision Pen 3 is compatible with this tablet. Here's an example of the pen - https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/accessories-and-software/tabl…

        • +1

          That's a shame.

  • +2

Anyone been able to get Revanced Manager and YouTube Revanced to work on these? I keep getting an error where the battery saver settings seem to kill off MicroG despite granting it an exception

  • What are the limitations of a Chinese ROM

    • +2

Doesn't come with the Google Playstore preinstalled. You need to download it from the LenovoAppMarket.

Once the language is set to English the CN ROM is pretty similar to the Global version according to posts by owners on previous deals.

Xi Jinping reads all your emails and watches you through the front-facing camera.

      • +3

I hope your underwears were not made in China.

  • +1

So is there a keyboard available for this tablet?

Also do Lenovo have their version of Samsung dex type desktop on this?

And is the precision pen 3 that much better than the 2?

  • +2

This site has the tablet available with the SD 870 chipset. Is that going to be better?

    https://www.giztop.com/lenovo-xiaoxin-pad-pro-2022-tablet.ht…

    • Not significantly better. You will pay US$299 before shipping for it though.

      • 8gb vs 6gb. Whether that's worth the extra or not will depend on the buyer.

        • Also 68W fast charging (vs 30w).

    • Is it right to assume this is a global ROM version of the tablet?

  • Comes to $382 with coupon code for me. 😥

    • +2

      Change currency to usd

      • Great life hack thank you

  • Does anyone with this tablet have the issue of enabled Accessibility settings (Bitwarden in my case) turning themselves off every other day?

  • Thanks OP. Came to $382 too but still happy with the price.

    • +2

      Change currency to usd

  • Are there any similar options with sim card slot/5g cell support?

  • My total came to AU$397.65 including case and film.
    Does that seem correct ?

  • Bought, thanks @Clear.

  • And to think the US gov sanctions on Huawei and chip access and manufacturing have halted potential future competitive development. Top competition never likes being ousted no matter how it comes about. Aside from all the spying and constant bickering, and political control/influence.

  • Looks like the coupon has been used up

Would have cancelled the order and re ordered in USD to save $13

My bad, should not have rushed putting in the order.

    • Coupon is still working here. Have you used it already elsewhere?

  • I have the Pad Pro 2021 - Nice unit, but not for the non-tech savvy.

Updates are few and far between and unless you are an advanced android used (side load, customization etc) then you are potentially going to be dissapointed.

Also, if you have a problem it costs about $200 to send back to China. I know as I had a screen problem with mine.

  • -2

AliExpress ay? I'll see it arrive in several months :D

    • +3

Weeks* Most of us are getting our orders in 1-3 weeks these days. Particularly Choice products shipped from the global AliExpress warehouses.

      • -7

1 to 3 weeks is still too long. I have got items from amazon US in a week so 1 to 3 weeks is terrable.

        • Who cares how long the delivery takes ? Do you think the tablet will expire in the mail ?!

          • -1

@Nom: everyone cares your part of the 5% of the world that doesn't.

    • +1

I ordered mine via Giztop. Aliexpress - good luck returning it….

      • Once upon a time I worked for Giztops parent company. You'd still have to return it to China.

      • -3

        exactly Aliexpress sucks.

  • +2

Given the performance is the nearly identical between the SD870 and M1300T, is it worth paying a bit more for the 8G version?

        • "Chinese Firmware" vs "Original Firmware" ,, not sure what the difference is ,, but seems both the same…

        • +1

Thanks for the link. I didn't know the Snapdragon varient was also available for sale. Ended up canceling my prev order and buying this one for fast charging and 8GB RAM.

          https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005876975735.html

          • +1

@Schrodinger: No worries. I was searching through their AliExpress listings to see if there were any duplicate listings with cheaper prices (which is common on AliExpress) and stumbled upon the 8G ver with Snapdragon chip.
Still on the fence whether I truly want one of these things or not…
I do sometimes need the portable power to play some gacha games I mean graphical intensive applications on the go, but those occasions are far and few.

            • +1

@peteranh3105: I was a bit bummed when I found out that that there's a snapdragon variant with super fast charging and more ram and then I saw your post :)

I was also on the fence. I haven't had a tablet for the last 8 years after the previous ones broke.
I have an older Surface Pro (too heavy and bad battery now) and a Kindle Scribe. So I wasn't sure if I need any more devices around this screen size. I like my wife's Galaxy Fold but wish it was slightly bigger. Tha Galaxy Tab S8/S9 Ultra seems nice but I don't feel like spending that much to try out if I'd like this or not.

I don't have big hopes for this in terms of performance.. I'm thinking of using this for YouTube videos and game streaming from my PC and Laptop. Maybe retro games locally too paired with a PS5 controller. I was also considering the Steam Deck but the LCD display is a deal breaker for me since pretty much all the devices I use day to day - mobile, laptop, TV have OLED screens and I'm quite used to them.

    • +2

I've been wanting a tablet for a while, so I saw this post today and became super interested. I was debating between the 6GB/8GB ram version too, but decided to cop the extra cost for 8GB RAM to just future-proof it for another couple of years with android updates. Seeing as how all my tech devices are using 8GB RAM right now, I also thought it would be safer to stick with that.

Also because I needed to grab a few more things, and decided on the 8GB, I tried to qualify for the $40usd aliexpress discount offer (min.$300 us spend, with code 930).

In my research I also found some other subtle differences with both models notably, the 8GB version also comes with 68W supercharging (vs. 30W) and fingerprint unlock on on/off button. So that may sway your decision to one over the other.

      • do you have a link for the one that you get?

      • So the SD model , does this come with the Original Sealed Chinese ROM firmware OR the "Global" firmware as mentioned earlier in the post? I ask as I would want to be sure that I can download the Google Play store and install apps.

        • From the fineprint on the listing, it looks like it comes with the Chinese firmware.

      • +1

Did you manage to make use of code 930? Total for me with the case comes to US $299.23, intentional? Adding additional items from lenovo store doesnt seem to work.

        • I added things from other stores too and the code worked for me

  • I’m a bit confused when reading the description on ALIEXPRESS, as per the link from OP.

It sounds like this deal comes with the pen and the keyboard?

But too good to be true?!

    Can anyone shed light?

Also want to confirm because if it doesn’t come with any accessories, imma shop for some.

    • Under the price you select your bundle. The default cheapest one is the tablet itself, then there's another bundle for more with the case and film. The keyboard/pen bundles are OOS.

      • Thanks @Clear, I see it now.

Guess I’ll be shopping for some accessories.

  • +1

Does this have a display in mode to use it as a second screen after connecting with laptop/mobile?

    • No video in. You can use apps to make it or any other Android device a second screen.

  • +1

What about the y700 at $393

  • +2

Anyone got any delivery update? Still nothing.. the tracking email just says waiting for dispatch from seller
