860

As spotted on MyDealz

The promo code AUS2023 is generic for Australia and works in any of the below 84 countries just by creating a new account on the app each time and then setting up the eSim. In Australia, this eSim runs on Optus, with 5G speeds. No payment method is required and it is not a contract but a prepaid plan. The tariff is valid for 3 days. 200MB is not much but enough for the first day of travel to notify friends and family.

There's also this…. Just need to check if the country you're travelling to is on the list

    (smaller list than this deal)

Red Bull and Eskimo are a much better deal if you are giving up your email address to them

    • Just grab a iCloud+ subscription and use "Hide My Email" if you are using Apple devices. I've created over 150 alias email addresses. Never hesitated in revealing email since using this.

Or don't, because SimpleLogin and Addy are free. There's plenty of others out there as well.

Duckduckgo is free too with native browser integration

@ozilicious: And on Firefox there's an extension by Mozilla called Relay. However this company's app requires a log in via Facebook/Google.

            • +2

@Techie4066: Good to know, although required FB/G log in is an absolute deal breaker for me

  • What's the best rate for esims? Airolo still coming up better when getting larger GB

Can i activate later in the months like november?
    Tq

    • +1

      Hope someone can share this..

    • Yes you can, got the rewards in app, just activate whenever you would like to use it

  • Anyone know how a travel sim like this works on a cruise, specifically a south pacific cruise?

    • It won't work on board the ship as maritime isn't covered. Also New Caledonia and Vanuatu are not on the list of countries.

    • If ports are listed it'd work while docked there, I'm doubtful you'll have mobile reception while cruising the Southern Pacific ocean

    200mb 🤣🤣

I was on the Airalo 10Gb Jaoan plan and only doing the essential stuff, plus using WIFI whenever available. less than 1G when I leave….

    • +4

This doesn't mean anything if you don't say how long you were there.

    • After one year of roaming. 😂😂

    • 10 days…..

it was too long to use $5 roaming and also most of the time me and my wife were on separate location.

Granted Japan has many free WIFI but the connectivity is garbage.

  • If using in Australia, Is there an option to pick a new number with this esim? Or is there no number because it's data only?

    • -1

No number coz it’s a roaming esim

      • +2

        A data roaming eSIM specifically
A "roaming eSIM" can still have a number

        • It doesn't seem to come with a number

  • Does this come with a new number?

  • noice

  • I’m going to Fiji tomorrow, so perfect timing - this says it’s for Australia though? How to get it to work when I’m in Fiji? If it does work, I’ll post an update here when I land.

    • +1

Can you please let me know how did you go with the esim.
I'm off to Fiji next week 😀

      • +2

Ok, I’m in Fiji…. This does NOT work. Worked in AUS, but not Fiji.

I posted a free Vodafone sim last week for here though!

    • You need to request for a different code.

      • Which is?

        • +1

It's on the registration page. Choose the country.

  • +1

Thanks op just downloaded and it’s set to Australia. How do I change it?

    • You can't. Need to request for a different code based on the travelling country.

  • -1

Any expired date on this .. ? Will travel around Easter next year 🤪

    • Once activated it's good for 3 days according to the OP. I don't know how long the promo codes will be valid for but they end in 2023 so perhaps until the end of the year. You don't have to activate the esim immediately though.

  • Is the code generic? I requested for a Taiwan and got something different

    • The codes are different for each country. I could only get one promo code to work for a single email address and it seemed to only accept either a FB or gmail login.

      • yep. thats what I thought.

The promo code is generic and works in any of the below 84 countries just by creating a new account on the app each time and then setting up the eSim.

        this is wrong.

        • +1

It's wrong that they say that it's generic. It's right that you have to create a new account on the app each time.

  • Silly question - is there an expiry date to this eSim?

    • OP indicates 3 days once activated for the freebie 200Mb.

  • I just activated in Singapore but even though data roaming and data are enabled its not working for data. Wonder if im missing something.

  • Code still working?

  • How long did it usually take for the email with code to come through?

Trying to get one for South Africa, tried two different emails but nothing seems to come through?
