I just started mine with Paypal and now there’s another one!

  • +1

Wow was just about to do the paypal one and saw this.. two clicks and was done :)
Had saved MC on file with Uber already and
6 months free thanks to Mastercard until Friday, 22 March, 2024
    Gratzi :)

    • +2

Apparently it stacks with the PayPal one so you can get 12 months free

      • CBA then PayPal or the other way or doesn't matter?
Would there be a way to check that before trying?

      • How did you calculate the12 months?

        • +10

          6 months + 6 months?

          • @sssx: There's an over lap?

            • @lily99: It stacks after the billing cycle ends, so no overlap.

              • @superior-username: Ok ic thanks! My current membership expires end of September. I'll use the PayPal one for 5 months then move to this one. Thanks again!

      • +1

How does it stack though cause mine is showing something went wrong. Currently on PayPal's deal

  • +2

Last time the PayPal 6 months free Uber One was posted people went bananas.

    • I’m still enjoying it and have saved heaps to date

      • +2

        Spend to save😄

        • +2

Two lots of spend $50 at Coles get $30 off so yes… everyone needs groceries

    • +6

I didn't buy any bananas, how many people did?

      • -4

It's metaphorically speaking. I thought it means when someone goes crazy. (Maybe I am wrong) Hence the upvotes on the previous deal. I meant it in a good way.

I didn't buy any bananas, how many people did?

        1345 people I guess 😄🙃

        • +1

          It was a joke…

          • @spackbace: I sometimes have difficulty understanding if it's a joke or not. Because it's in writing, I can't hear voice tone, see face expression etc.

            • @Scrooge McDeal: Because it is in fkn Engrish language, in any other language would be clear it is a joke.

    • +1

Shiiiiiiiiiit, should’ve gone for this one! Now it says I’ve already on a membership (4 months) and can’t redeem this. Damn!

  • When is the best time to activate Uber One?

    • ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • +6

      When hangry

    • +1

      Before new years I guess

      • Why before new years?

        • +1

I am lazy for all PH so I just use UberEATS lol and you do get many offer round that time too 😉

    • Yesterday??

  • +1

Added on with no issues, existing UberOne member as well

    • What does it say in your Uber One status? Is it 6 months from today? or did it extend?

      https://www.ubereats.com/au/uber-one

      • +2

Say 6 months from starting of new billing period (which coincidentally is tomorrow for me)

  • Btw OP. Are you sure it's just for eligible Commbank MasterCard? Maybe it's not just Commbank?

    • +3

It could be, but the link is specific to Commbank Yello and description is copy/paste from Commbank email.

There could be multiple of the same t.uber.com/<company> links that go to the same mastercard page.

I'm happy to update title if users confirm they are able to activate the 6 months with non-Commbank Mastercard

      • +1

Just an FYI - worked for me on a basic CBA debit card, nothing fancy.

Had PayPal already free till Feb, thanks to CBA - stacked and free till August 2024. Stoked, thanks for the find Op!

  • +1

It won't let me switch my payment method to another card, anyone else have this issue?

    • Try incognito mode

      • +1

Same thing, still doesn't work. And i can't even remove the other cards off my profile in settings cos it says it can't do that "while a transaction is in process", even though there isn't one.

    • +2

      Same here.

    • +2

      Same here

  • +2

My last 6 months ended like a week ago my gosh…

    • Literally same, ended a week ago and was from the same deal posted here 6 months ago

  • +13

Might be also worth adding Westpac into the deal also:

It stacks onto the PayPal deal and starts when the PayPal one ends.

6 months free trial thanks to PayPal until Tuesday, 12 March, 2024
4 months free from Mastercard starts on 12 Mar, 2024

    • Thanks Heaps Doweyy, I was not aware of the Westpac deal.

Do you know if Westpac one can be unsubscribed earlier (to not get auto renewed) like the PayPal one? So if I forget, I dont get hit by the monthly fees?

      • There'll probably be another 6 months trial promo before the Westpac one ends :p

      • +3

Neither was I until this deal was posted, but just came up when I searched.

I assume you might need to wait until the Westpac one begins before ending your membership early, my subscription looks like this:

        • 4 months free from Mastercard starts on 12 Mar, 2024

        Your membership: Uber One

        • Renews on 12 Mar, 2024

        Current plan:

        • 6 months free trial from PayPal until 12 Mar, 2024

Probably not worth risking press end membership until the Westpac one starts, unless someone tries and it shows no billing until July 2024 (for me at least).

        • Wouldn't be better to wait until current subscription ends to cancel and then activate the new one?

          • +3

@Scrooge McDeal: This offer would generally expire (29/2) before the PayPal existing subscriptions expire (depending on when the user took the offer up), so will have to do it before it ends anyway.

    • +1

Awesome Doweyy! Thanks for sharing - stacked with 4 months extra for Westpac

    • +1

I haven't hit the 'join now' but the T&C includes the below:

If you are currently an active member, you will only be eligible to accrue one Uber One free trial offer. Your accrued Uber One free trial offer will be viewable in the Uber One member hub. Active members on Mastercard funded memberships redeemed prior to 1 August 2023 will only be able to activate this offer once their current Uber One offer ends.

And I am currently with the PayPal offer

      • +2

I noticed the same, but I assume that's for Mastercard only as they're funding it. It fails and says "Unfortunately, you can’t use this offer since you already have another offer pending." when trying to redeem Commbank after Westpac.

PayPal would be separate because of the separate funding arrangements, allowing the two "free trial offers" to stack together.

        • Surprisingly I was able to activate the 6 months from OP through a Commbank Debit card, and then the Westpac 6 months through your link with a World CC.

Westpac one says it starts from the 22nd of Mar 2024

          • @FrugalFrella: Oh wow that's good then, I assume maybe then it's just can only have 2 free trials applied, regardless of funder/source.

            • @doweyy: Do you think this means once the PayPal promo subscription ends, we can apply the Westpac promo?

    • Great, another 6 months on top of Paypal deal :D

    • Incredible, thank you!

    • Thanks.

    • The Altitude Black card worked for the World and Platinum link

    • Does this stacking happen with Commbank mastercard as well? Or just with these cards you've mentioned above?

  • +1

Thanks OP - already had my CBA MC as payment method so got the 6 months in just a few clicks!

  • +1

    Doesnt work for me

  • +5

    “ Hmm, something went wrong…
Try again or contact support in the Help section.”

    not sure why

    • Same

    • +1

I have activated the PayPal one. Now getting this error trying to click on the MC deal.

  • +2

So I got the last PayPal deal which ends on the 17th feb 2024 and apparently that’s when this Mastercard 6 months will kick in

  • i dont think it added to the paypal deal :-( might have cut myself short

  • What’s a world card?

I was able to get the extra 4 months on top of PayPal deal with my Westpac debit.

Safe to say you need a CBA card or whatever a “world card” is if you want bonus 6 months? My Westpac Mastercard and Citi prestige didn’t work with any of the 6 month links.

  • It says extended after the paypal offer.. so not bad ..

    • By another 6 months?

  • +2

    Something went wrong..

  • I found rides were just as expensive with UberOne as without. Literally no difference in price. Pass.

    • Thats coz the savings is given back as 5% UberCash now instead of as a 10% discount on the ride

  • +2

Cancel the subscription once you get the six month free subscription to prevent an accidental charge.

  • +7

"Something went wrong". Currently have the PayPal offer activated.

  • +1

Didn't work on my coles MC :-(

  • Love it. This stacks up with the PayPal offer. Soooo good!!

    No charges until August 2024

  • I have the PayPal one, added this but didn’t extend to renew date.

  • Added the Westpac one but it didn’t add on so I now only have it until Jan 24. Be careful

  • +1

What can we do with uber eats?

  • Ooo it stacks. I had the Paypal 6 months free which lasts until feb. Then I activated this one and now it says 6 months free mastercard will begin in feb.

  • Does it work with Citibank MC?

      • Which Citibank MC you are using?

      • Did not work with my prestige

        • my bad i used commbank

    • did not work for my Citi rewards :(

    • Got an offer for it today via email.

  • Can confirm that is stacks with PayPal, however if you cancel the CommBank and you already have PayPal offer activated, the addon won't stick around.
Just keep it active and cancel as soon as the MasterCard trial starts. Set the day after in your calendar!

  • Did someone have more than one eligible MasterCard, does it stack?

  • Thanks, Op. Right on time. Just finished the 6 months free pass, with paypal.

    • hopefully when my paypal free finish, this is still available.

      • +1

You don't have to wait, stackable, done it myself

    • No it says that I already have an offer activated. I just tried adding the paypal one.

  • Any offer than can be stacked on this mastercard offer to extend to 12 months?

  • +1

Does not stack "You've already had a membership
It looks like you've already had a membership. Unfortunately, you're not eligible for this Uber One offer."

  • +1

Uber One Trials come with a small caveat – to access the benefits, you must use the original payment method throughout the trial. For instance, if you registered for the CommBank offer, you'll need to make payments with the same card, and if it's the PayPal offer, then you'll have to stick with PayPal payments. Using an alternative payment method means forfeiting all the associated benefits.

    • +2

You can still fully offset the entire cost by gift cards and maintain Uber one

    • But you can let it default to Uber Cash which gets around that.

    • But using gift cards is possible right?
