Don't forget to request extra breasts and thighs.

The design is obviously to reach deep and dark holes.

    "Lube me up Scotty !"

  • Can I use this to lube the switch (keyboard)?

    • -2

I don't recommend as it is oil base

      • Oh thank you.

        • Yes, this stuff is typically used for keyboard switches.

People seem to be saying that it's not good for plastics… there's a lot more to it than that and you should check the spec sheets. It's fine for keyboard switch plastics.

        • It's fine for keyboard switches. Been using it for over a year and when I pull them apart to relube, there is no chemical attack on the switches. I am using Gateron Milky Yellow and Holy Panda switches.

      • +1

It is actually compatible with plastics as the "oil" is a synthetic and not a petroleum-based one. Chemical compatibility is here, only thing that is not compatible with it are a few rubber based materials.

You might be able to bag lube springs with this, but certainly not for use on the actual switch housings or stem.

      • Thank you.

    • Of course for the switch springs!!! Much cheaper than Krytox 105. Heaps of people use this. Superlube H3 Lightweight is probably better.

    • Its a teflon suspension - so if you want to stop your switches conducting, its ideal

  • I just bought this for my coffee machine - https://amzn.asia/d/6XHzgUd.

30ml for $8.50. Seems to have similar properties.

    • Seems to have similar properties.

It would be closer to 21010 than 51014, given that it's a grease.

  • This is great oil, with the PTFE.

  • +1

This can be used to lube pocketknife pivots, leatherman-style tools, etc.

    "Kosher certified"

    Aaaiye!

  • "….particles that bond to surfaces of moving parts providing protection against friction, wear…"

    That should work.

  • 7 ml?

    • You don't need much. While I don't have this specific lube, I only used a few drops to lubricate a folding knife. Even that may have been too much as I had to wipe the excess away.

    • Just a drop in the tip of the protective barrier is fine, if you aren’t raw dawgin’ it.

  • -1

food safe - so can i use this to make bacon and eggs?

    • -2

Might be halal certified too… Better not to use

  • Good for desqueaking oven shelf runners?

    • Not sure if could handle the heat in an oven. Maybe a silicon-based product would be a better option.

      • Mmm, listed as - 45 to 450C, should be enough other than the pyrolytic cycle.

        • +3

Nonononono, it's -45F to 450F (-43C to 232C), just double checked on their official website.

PTFE/Teflon is generally considered safe up low to mid 200s, well known limit for people working with slightly more exotic 3D printer materials that require 250C+ temperatures.

  • Only for Machinery?

    • +6

Yes. You can use it on your tool.

      • 😁

    • +1

the missus won't thank you for it

  • +2

7ml only? What is this, lube for ants?!

    • Nice little throwback

    • For small pennies only

  • Lucky you put ‘for machinery’ in the title otherwise it might have ended up in my pie hole

  • Synthetic blend with Syncolon (PTFE)
    Biodegradable and environmentally friendly

Which statement do I believe :)

  • -1

    Here for comments. :-P

  • with suspended Syncolon (PTFE) particles

So it’s good for butt stuff?

    • No, it's a sin to put it in your colon

      • Unless your name is Collin.

  • Apparently I’m a machine, so … 😩😩

  • Hah mine just arrived today. I used it to lube springs - about 12 drops in a bag (which I assume is maybe about 1ml?) covered my 65% keyboard (67 keys)

  • Any good fit squeaky garage doors?

    • +1

Probably want more than 7ml for that.

  • This stuff is actually so good, its good for everything really, whether you're lubing mechanical keyboards, or 3d printer components, watch mechanisms, stuff around the house even.

  • OOS :-(

  • hows this differ to cheap gear grease which I actually get for free from mechanics - the dark red looking stuff

    • If ChatGPT is coming to ozbargain for answers then the future of AI is bleak.

      • +3

        That’s right. Keep underestimating me

  • happy customer

Those AU prices are a total ripoff. I checked my order history, and bought it from Amazon US for $4 a couple years ago.
