    Orders didn't track so have now cancelled them. All in all, a big waste of time and bother.

  • One order tracked OK next order showing as "calculating" and no sign of Westpac bonus also. Do we pick up order or cancel. If we pick up lose about $40 if not honored/
    hard to find SB chat and they do not seem to be aware of issue they promise reply by 5 PM then say up to 48 hours USELESS as order may cancel. Previously got a call from an agent last year now they seem to not do this

    I spoke to customer support, they asked me to send them various paperwork

    I have five pending transactions, that's a lot of emails to send.

    You then have to wait for approval from shopback, then Westpac. Then you don't know if BWS because they f***** up is going to approve it in 4 months.

    My suggestion to the hundreds of people that have pending orders is the safest bet is to simply cancel them and as much as I love shopback and I've earned thousands and thousands of dollars with them, my use has been declining rapidly.

    I'm tired of wasting my time, back and forth and cashback's not working correctly.

    At the end of the day it reflects poorly on shopback even if it's BWS's fault.

    For all we know BWS use this as free marketing, and then more than happy to have all these canceled orders because their system is $***.

    So even if customer support have those pendings turn to approvals, you don't know if BWS side is going to approve them in 4 months and being the cash back overall is 45% you could stand to lose a significant amount of money.

    Just a side note, BWS will never cancel your order. I've had orders sitting at BWS for over 4 weeks, before they called me to ask me about the order.

    BWS is not like first choice or Liquorland where they have a system that will cancel your order after 5 days. They will ring you, or you have to ring them and manually cancel.

    Unfortunately, because the approval for BWS is like 4 months, none of that really matters in terms of if you'll see your money.

      Mate, I mentioned in my comment above that this was a known issues, and that any user who had their order track as "Calculating" will have this rectified. I am seeing a few issues with Westpac tracking which is separate and may need to be checked case-by-case, but happy to flag with the team that take care of Westpac as well so that this can be looked at as a potential blanket issue.

      I appreciate your honesty here, but I think it's a bit unfair to advise users cancel their orders when I've already committed to getting it sorted out for them.

        You're commited on your end, but that doesn't guaranteed BWS approves it on their end?

        I have 5 pending, none are showing Westpac either.

        I'm just stating that with such a large cashback, 45% overall it's very high risk. I know Shopback customer service are pretty good, however… if there's issues on BWS end, my concern is that they could reject it.

        I did mention that BWS will hold your orders for quite a while, so there's no rush to cancel orders if tracking comes around.

    I've made 9 seperate orders for a wedding and not one has tracked. Now what? Now I have to go back and chase up each single one. How can this be the case every single time with Shopback. Nothing in Westpac either. Shopback is so unreliable.

    • BWS has a 2 day tracking window, so it's very possible that the tracking has yet to come through for you, however if it doesn't by the end of that window, shoot me a message and I'll see if I can chase this up for you.

        Suggestion to your CEO
        When BWS sends confirmations during the time period of the sale to customer a email also gets sent to Shopback with just invoice # maybe include if paid by credit card on WP deals, On Shopback site have an input if item not tracked asking to send invoice #. Not to involved and until BWS is sorted would make customers not go through so many hoops. A software program could be programmed on BWS side.

      • Mate, 2 days tracking window passed days ago. Still nothing. I also DM'd you 2 days ago and waiting for a response. Could you please check.

    Not sure what to do.

    6 orders.
    - 3 with no tracking at all
    - 1 successful
    - 2 marked as pending (but no Westpac tracking)

    Might cancel the 3 orders with no tracking, and take a punt with the 2 pending orders and keep it.

    Absolute shambles regardless.

    My 3rd badly tracked BWS order, just got fixed.
    Had it as calculating and no entry for the Westpac bonus.
    Just got a notification of tracking, Me Huh?
    Went and looked and 2 new entries,
    A BWS entry and a Westpac entry, the calculating one is still there, but the 2 new entries that fix it.

    I'm drinking and enjoying my BWS 40% cashback right now.

      mine did too for some time before the correct amount came thru next day so im sure yours wont be far behind

  • Had 2 BWS orders rejected from this as they didnt track properly, which is super annoying as i wouldn't of made any purchase otherwise.
    I went straight to the website, clicked through to BWS and made the order.
    No doubt the other pending orders will be rejected too. Not sure how this can be fixed in the future but its pretty piss poor and has really put me off using any CB in the future. I now see all the other comments of 'never again' and tend to agree.
