Make the Mrs happy with this surprise household item upgrade.

Attempting this would be as successful, as dangerous, as buying an anniversary present requiring a power cord.

Unless you bought some kind of wand with magic properties perhaps?

Im appalled that OP would say something like that. As if women should be the only ones ironing…
We all know they belong in the kitchen too!

      • Had me at the first half. ngl.

    • Or a bowling ball

  • Good find OP! I personally would not buy an ironing board for >40 :S It's just too steep, rather spend 100 for an iron.

Kmart's one would work the same right?

Nah a good ironing board is a good investment. Bigger and sturdier, and a better result for your clothes because the top is softer and you don't get the print on your clothes of the metal underneath the thin cover

Literally never been an issue, ironing on basic ikea board for 15 years.

Same for slightly longer. Like 20 or so years.

    Make Dad's day

  • Personally, I can recommend this one, on sale for 111 this weekend at Myer

  • Jayz - is this made from titanium? If you have steam on, the water will condense and pool. Surely this is a better option (if not as snazzy looking) ?https://www.kmart.com.au/product/ironing-board-with-hanger-and-iron-holder-43225637/

Great find OP, I've been looking out for a good deal on a quality ironing board for ages.

The Kmart ones are cheap, but seriously annoying when you have like 4 hours worth of ironing to do.

$137 for an ironing board?? Is this Ozbargain or OzLottowinners?

    • My iron didn't even cost this much.

    • +1

Its true, its oz quality for sale. Which isn't a bad thing, i like to buy the high quality on sale items that last than the continual landfill junk.

Lol. Ozbargain drives consumerism and likely doesn't save most users money. Think about all the impulse purchases or "buy now, think later" attitude.

Is anyone actually ironing their clothes?

    • only for weddings and funerals.

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • I think the black and blue one is actually a different model and more expensive. although you can buy the cover for it later on. we have this ironing board and think it's pretty good. you'll never quite justify the price, but it is very convenient and sturdy aswell. hasn't let us down yet!

Good quality iron is more important than good ironing board

  • I just use a handheld garment steamer instead of ironing. Heaps quicker and more enjoyable and comes out looking just as good, especially if comes straight out of dryer

  • Yeah paying anywhere near this for an ironing board is a joke
