I recall that deal and the responses from the rep. Soliciting positive reviews through bribes (discounts).
Also
@carlaj didn't have to resort to a PayPal dispute to get his/her money back. That should always be last dispute but difficult if the store completely ghosted a customer.
So this is the issue I have had with some users. It seems to be that when you try to defend your position here it's taken like the text above "pretty toxic to people" or "soliciting reviews through bribes."
Lets's be clear what the offer was for and why we offered it. As a small new business the first thing a potential customer will do would be to look for reviews on that business and it's offering which is completely understandable. We simply offered a cash incentive for customers to review products bought from our store in order to grow those reviews and in turn not only help our business grow but also to get customer feedback on our products in order to improve our offering.
On average only 1-3% of customers are likely to leave a review so it's really difficult to get reviews. At no time did we say that the review had to be positive. In fact the language we used was to leave an honest review. This was the point I was defending with some users.
Could I have perhaps structured the offer differently? Perhaps. But the offer was made in good faith and with the best of intentions as we take pride in what we deliver to our customers and we only want to improve that
With regards to the Carla $13 Paypal issue that was completely our fault and I have explained that direct to Carla below. And again the language above in the previous comment is "…noted issues with customer service." This wasn't issues (plural) but one isolated incident which again was our fault.
As much as I have help up my hands in accepting my fault in the processing of this single order for Carla, I think users here have to understand the potential damage they can do to a young business trying to give it a go with the type of language being used on this forum such as that I have detailed above.
Thanks for the heads up. I wanted to put some decals up in my kids room but will find an alternative company.
Hi there thanks for responding to the above.
This was the point I was defending above. It only takes a couple of people on this forum using language such as "toxic to people" and "bribery…" etc to kill a small business's reputation. In terms of our small family business nothing could be further from the truth and we have worked hard over the last 18 months to grow and develop our business especially given the market that we serve which is parents with young kids.
I would welcome the opportunity to disprove these comments and as such I would like to offer you $40 to spend on our store.
Indeed if you or any other users would like the opportunity to put us to the test please reach out via email and I will send you the coupon code for this to use on our website. [email protected]
Thanks again for the opportunity to respond. Thanks John
I’ve had a negative experience with their last deal. Had to wait months for a refund. Was initially told order was missed or something and they’d re do it but nothing happened. It was cutting it close to PayPal dispute cutoff but finally managed to get my refund thanks to PayPal.
I do love small business and shopping small but this company really need to work on their customer service.
I highly recommend wondermade (I’m in no way associated with them but have purchased from them multiple times). They’re a great custom decal small business with excellent customer service and great quality. I always get people amazed at my photo decals from wondermade.
Hi Carla Apologies for the time it took to process your refund. From memory the problem that we had was due to the change with the website and the integration with the discounts codes all happening at the same time when we ran the deal here at the time. Completely our fault on our end. As a small family business we underestimated the response and we hadn't prepared a lot of our backend systems. However, the $13 was refunded to you when we received the Paypal notification. Again we apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Best regards John
Please refrain from endorsing this business as they shamelessly imitate their competitors, outright copying their unique designs, and lack any ethical or moral standards.
Rep has been pretty toxic to people for questioning their "bargains" and has noted issues with customer service.
