Brazil/Colombia is the same price, as always has been but there's seasonal variety, but Colombia has been off the shelf for a very long time, probably more than a year ago due to shortage I guess.
A bit dear now!
I remember Brasil SO 1kg package was $16.99 1 month ago and it was everyday price…
F**** inflation…Not long ago it was only $1 dearer than the normal grey/black bag, around $14 for a very long time until recently.
F**** wage stagnation
No point of increasing wages if everything else just rises to offset it. This garbage needs to be curb stomped at the source with the government cracking down on blatant profiteering by major grocery chains overcharging for essential resources and using inflation as an excuse(Albeit Aldi isn't as bad as the colesworth duopoly announcing billion dollar profits year after year while also getting sued for wage theft). There's already rules surrounding this, but it's poorly enforced. F*** the two major parties in this country doing nothing nothing about this. Other countries are already being proactive cracking down on this shit launching investigations into their major grocery chains over rising food costs.
Selling your precious time and effort for a fixed price is soul destroying, and it will be never ending trying to keep up with rising costs. Better to be your own boss and set your own wage and hours.
Tell that to the bank when taking out a mortgage.
I think this is why some small businesses are happy to operate at works out to less than minimum wage for their time, because no one can tell them what to do and they own all their output at the end of the day.
It's not all roses and sunshine when you run a small business in inflationary times either.. most small business can't change their pricing as quickly as inflation costs hit, so you end up doing the same job for effectively less money.
Has Aldi's single origin range always been this expensive? Seem to remember it being cheaper.
Not a deal, Unless this is a special edition, the Lazzio Single Origins have usually been under this price and I think last time we purchased this it was 17, so this is a price rise.
Welcome to OzNotBargain
The Colombia beans were available in store on the weekend, I picked some up to try.
How are they? Considering buying them for the 1st time.
Haven't opened them yet, I'm still finishing off a pack of dark beans.
I've tried them now, to me it's even stronger than the Dark blend. Also, don't know if this is related, but when using this coffee in soy milk lattes I get lumps in the coffee, like the soy milk is coagulating with something in this coffee.
Does anyone know how to decipher the roast date on these lazzio packets particularly the lazzio Brazil SO?
Has anyone tried the new Lazzio Luxury variety (purple 1kg bag)?
Didn't Brazil used to be a bit cheaper? I noticed it was $19 now too. Also saw Columbia on the shelf but no prices, guess good to know it's hte same price as Brazil. Should give the $12 Coles beans a go again…
