are you a Crystal Castles fan

  • Great CPU but screen and connectivity is pretty poor

    • The Ryzen variant has an OLED option. More money, though.

  • is there any with thunderbolt 3?

  • Torn between Intel & Ryzen variant and seeking opinions. Please correct me if I'm wrong but it seems strange they've chosen an H series Intel processor rather than a U series, which would provide better power efficiency/battery life?

Have 2 kids starting high school next year and these look like pretty good options but I'm leaning towards the Ryzen 7730U option. My thinking is the Ryzen will offer better battery life and thermals at the expense of performance. The Intel 13620H I'm sure offers great performance but seems wasted on a school laptop which won't be used for any processor intensive tasks

    Is my reasoning sound?
