Why? Are they experts on Indian food?

jv's actually even further from reality by comparing chicken tikka masala, with paneer tikka. chicken tikka masala is a british interpretation of what "curry" should be. Tikka literally translates to chunks (usually of meat) and refer to just marinated pieces of (grilled or barbecued) meat and isn't usually cooked in any sauces. This "samosa" is an anglicised abomination and while it may taste good, calling it Indian is the same as calling carbonara made with cream and mushrooms Italian or calling Honey Chicken authentic Chinese cuisine.

  • These are good but medium-sized. At more than $1/per samosa seems still expensive for frozen stuff.

    • They also contain cashews.

      • I like cashews.

        • Lots of people are allergic to them…

They also don't have them listed as allergens.

They just state "May Contain………" which is against the food regulations.

'Frozen stuff' seems like a qualifier for crap food.
      Are they actually any good?

      • This is a good brand…..I would say better than Haldiram's samosas. So if you are keen, give them a go. I tried this particular flavor and I liked it.

Let me tell you a secret. In India, there's nothing called "Tikka Sauce"

    • +2

      It's British food…

    • +1

Or Britain when I lived there.

  • It's all about money

  • Aren't these periodically half price? This doesn't enthuse me.

    • Yup if they are not half price… I am not buying.. But I have bought stuff and things that I don't need and I blame OZBARGAIN for it… 😂 😂 😂 (class action coming soon)

I'll be in on that, I bought a frekin 2 man inflatable row boat for some reason.

  • Tikka sauce in a Samosa?!! SMH.
