Defibtech Lifeline View with 7 Year Battery $1800 Delivered @ DDI Safety

110

$1800 is the cost of living!

We're on the pulse when it comes to great deals, and we don't want your wallet to flatline.
So we've taken charge to revive competition in the AED industry.

This is a great defib choice, it's quite a straightforward easy to use model with loud, clear voice prompts.

It's standout feature is the long battery life. This model includes a 7 year shelf life battery. That's the longest battery life of any defib we sell and
means less maintenance time and cost.

Also, we wrote an article about home Defibs, including some information on how the Cell-AED compares to other choices.

    Semi-Auto

    What does that mean?

    Is there a Full-Auto model?

    • I don’t think the speed of a full-auto would be advised.

      • How much faster is it?

        • +1

Seems like I missed my mark.

            @Elpres: Hey JV
Automatic defibrillators determine if a shock needs to be applied then they automatically apply the shock.
Semi-Automatic defibrillators determine if a shock needs to be applied then ask you to press a button to apply the shock.
Manual Defibrillators let you choose when and what shock to apply.

            Hope that helps.
We don't have the automatic version of this model in stock.

    • Yes, you don't have to push the "clear" button, it does it by itself with a full auto model afaik.

    • I prefer the triple shot instead

Thanks OP, this will come in handy when I get my next electricity and gas bills.

  • RRP $2300

    Normal price is $1950.

    https://www.docstock.com.au/products/defibtech-lifeline-semi…

Price comparison in title is misleading and deceptive.

    • How is it misleading? Clearly states RRP. Most OzBargainers know that means nothing anyway. Price still cheaper than the link provided JV

    • $2300 at First Aid Academy and Medilogic.
Price is $2199 at priority first aid, neca trade services
Docstock has a sale price or EDLP of $1950, which is still $150 more than us

      • Docstock has a sale price or EDLP of $1950

Nope, that is porky pies. It's their normal price. Has been that price for over a month now…

        https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:a54vXY…

        • So it's an EDLP? Everyday Low Price. Cool!
It's still more expensive then us. :-)
I'm glad we are able to offer a good price to the ozbargain community

            @cheapjack:

It's still more expensive then us (sic.)

It didn't say it wasn't, but claiming this is a $500 saving is deceptive and misleading.

It is $150 cheaper than can be bought normally elsewhere

            • @jv: All i'm claiming is the RRP is $2300.
No deceptive or misleading messages their.
if other companies reduce their prices below RRP that is good for the ozbargainer

                @cheapjack:

All i'm claiming is the RRP is $2300

Which is a misleading price comparison according the ACCC

Read up on the ACCC advertising laws.

                https://www.accc.gov.au/business/pricing/price-displays

Ways that a displayed price can be misleading
                * Comparing the displayed price to a recommended retail price (RRP) that no-one generally charges for the product.

It's a dodgy practice to trick customers that the saving is actually more than it really is…

                • +1

@jv: But people do generally charge that for the product. Look at First Aid Academy and Medilogic

                  • +1

                    @cheapjack: Most don't…

Once again, you missed the point.

You are deliberately trying to mislead customers by suggesting this is $500 saving, when at best, it is a $150 saving…

Also, price comparisons to RRP are illegal according to the ACCC unless you normally sell that product at RRP.

                    • +3

@jv: Okay, thanks for the tip JV. I'll change the title for you.
BTW JV, it is not at best a $150 saving. It is at least $150 cheaper than the cheapest price you could find

                      • +1

@cheapjack: You can’t really say you’re apart of this community until you’ve been trolled by jv. Welcome.

due for a booster so this might come in handy in case of a sudden & unexpected mild case of myocarditis!

    • -1

      mild case of myocarditis!

More chance of getting that if you catch covid.

  • $5 cheaper here, but apparently also 5% off first order if not already a customer. $30 shipping, but more than offset if able to get the $5 plus 5%.

Haven't seen any reviews as yet, however pretty much all the sellers I looked at say it is a 5 year battery, not 7 years.

    • Hey Fluffycat.
That's for the 5 year battery life model. Ours includes the 7 year battery for practically the same price.

Can you give me more info on their 5% off, we are happy to DM you a link and match any price on the 5 year model.
We don't actually have that model listed because we think it's better value to get the 7 year model,

  • How do you change the battery?

    • It's super simple. There is a compartment on the side. With one button press the battery storage caddy comes out. You put the new battery in it and then slot the caddy into the defib.

Sort of like changing a hot swap hard drive on a server!

      • what kind of battery does this take?

        • its a proprietary lithium iron battery designed to have a really long standby life. If you are looking for something that uses standardised batteries, the Zoll AED Plus takes Type 123 batteries which are commonly available. Their standby life is not as long though.

  • What is the cost of a replacement 7 year battery OP? assuming I live that long…….

    • It's currently around the $495. Which is on the pricey side. So roughly $70 a year.
But if that's all the batteries you need to replace for a decade and a half, that's pretty worthwhile.
