Vietjet Air is beginning direct flights from Perth to Ho Chi Minh City.

"The service will commence on November 21st with an initial frequency of two flights weekly, although given Vietjets enthusiasm for Australia that will probably increase before the first flight lands."

Flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays

Flights begin on 21st Nov, then 25th Nov, 28th Nov…

I don't know if the price is a bargain - November flights are approx. $400 one way, a bit less than $800 return.

The cheapest I can see is $650 return throughout March.

      They had their sale on the 8/8/23 for one day only for travel from end of this year and start of next. From Perth, I could only find flights for $1000 there and $50 return lol.

    Problem is, saving $200 flying with air asia will pay for your entire accomidation of around 5 nights thats how cheap Vietnam is

  Vietjet is famous both in Vietnam and Out East for very often being late/delayed. Hopefully you Westies get to experience that too :p

    Surprisingly, Vietjet international flights isn't as bad as domestic, did DAD-ICN, SYD-SGN, DAD-BKK, SGN-BKK, KUL-SGN and never got delayed.

      Was on the Syd-HCM recently which was supposed to leave at 1050 but instead left at around 1530…Then on the return leg it was delayed by 2 hours as well =(
