Just got an email from Billy Guyatts with this weekly deal. I am a coffee drinker but I use Breville so I can't tell is it the cheapest or is it a good unit. I thought I just share this if anyone interested. Close to 60% off, others seem selling around $250 mark

Mmm nah, this thing causes so much irritation you'd be better off with any other option. Sprays grinds everywhere, poor grind size control and is only manual dosing (no timer).
Yeah somewhat agreed - I used one of these for a few years.
It occasionally nailed a good shot, but it's a nightmare to dial in for espresso.I reckon it'd be fine for filter / aeropress / cold brew… maybe espresso with a pressurised basket, but it's too inconsistent for espresso.
I use a DF64 now - much more consistent.
Which one did you get exactly. I'm just looking and they are expensive

Just wait til this comes on special. Excellent grinder at an excellent price. It regularly used to drop to around $189 or $199, (though maybe it's been a little while since we have had this price?) and it is a better buy than the Sunbeam if you can get it at this price.
I don't think there is any other grinder at this price point that comes remotely close.@HappyPants: I have this and only retired it with the dual boiler last year after 10 years, change the upper burr once, very good unit for the price (I bought the dual boiler with this back in 2012. after COVID, the lowest is around $240 from my memory
@Ozb101: Just the orignal one with standard burrs.
Decent grinders do cost a bit, but they make a huge diference.
I'd take a good grinder and a cheap machine any day over the other way around.
Reasonable grinder at this price point. But no match for even the cheapest flat burr grinder off aliexpress!
Friend has the DF64, and I had the Breville Smart Grinder Pro before moving to the DF64V because there were single origin beans that the breville couldn't grind fine enough to make a reasonable cup. I had adjusted the burrs 2 stops finer manually, and was grinding at a setting of 4. Still wasn't enough.
With the DF64V, it does it without complaints at a setting of 13, so I can go even finer if I come across coffee beans that need it.
Are you comparing this with a grinder 10x the price of this?
Hard pass wait for the smart grinder pro to go on special.
sunbeam is a good company, you might know another name HuiJia. And it’s very famous for it’s significant product niche zero.
cheap grinder, can't really go wrong who is only looking at this price point.
