I can't vouch for this grinder as I was researching for something decent but affordable to use with my new three cup Moka pot (thanks Catch). Note it's only 17g but this is basically spot on for the three cup pot.
The Hario Australia site has it for $112.
V60 is in the name but it can be adjusted for a finer grind.
Now just need the coffee so would be grateful for recommendations.

yeah I definitely would not recommen this grinder, it has a ceramic mill and I actually do have this one from a hario camping set I won in a giveaway, the consistency is really all of the place. I would recommend buying kingrinder k0 when its on sale 20%.

Thanks, cancelled lol. I was looking at the kingrinders but they seemed a little pricey (for me). Might wait for the K0 to go in special then. Camel says the average is about $48.
      Thanks.

It’s fine for Aeropress, but if you have a machine, it doesn’t go fine enough. I switched from this to the Kingrinder K6

      • How does K6 compare to Timemore c3 pro?

        • no idea

Honestly both are good enough and great at the price you can get them for (C3 often around $80 on Ali, K6 $120, not ATL).

I've used both for pour over and aeropress, also have a Sculptor 64s for espresso that I've played around with at filter settings.
I think unless you have a particularly refined palate you probably wont really notice the difference between them, I can't really.
Next step up in price like 1Zpresso etc. are meant to be better again, but I think you start hitting a real plateau with all coffee gear where you're upgrading for the sake of it and because you saw a post or video saying it was slightly better for twice the price.

All that said, I would strongly recommend against the Hario grinder, I had one years back for aeropress and it's pretty terrible compared to the Kingrinder/Timemore/1Zpresso etc.

  • I like Hario stuff but this is definitely not worth the price. Kingrinder is better when approaching these prices.

Agreed. I quickly found that my V60 would lack depth however clicks setting I tried - up or down. I bought a Kingrinder K6 at $148 from Amazon and never looked back.

  • These days there are much much better hand grinders that can be bought for just a little more money. I would recommend putting the money aside and waiting on a god price on a kingrinder or 1zpresso if your budget will stretch.
