    originally worth A$57.95

Based on what exactly? It's pretty standard for these shovelware apps to offer "free" version with no updates then ask payment for updates or extra features.

Also, be careful providing these random apps access to your entire phone's contents. That doesn't seem smart.

    • A$57.95 is based on the discounted price which you can find on the official store page.
The "free" version is already the latest version, IMO, it's not necessary to pay for upgrading to full version at present.

  • isn't this what APPLE ID is used for?

If the product is free, you are the product.

  • How is it any different from iTunes?

  • No.

  • How is this different from iTunes which is free? The only differentiator I can see is converting HEIC to JPEG but you can make the phone do this on the fly by changing a setting in the Settings app

    • It explains the differences between the software from iTunes: https://www.5kplayer.com/iphone-manager/dearmob-vs-itunes.ht…

Sure we can do that before taking photos. I mean if we already have HEIC on iPhone and want to export them to Windows, this feature may help as Windows isn't able to recognize HEIC files by default.

      • Thanks for the link but what I'm saying, is the HEICs are stored on the phone, but when you go to copy them over USB, AirDrop, email, etc. the phone or iPad automatically converts them on the device as it's copying them so you never see a HEIC, only JPEG
