Bosch self levelling laser. I personally have one of the Bunnings off brands and it is excellent, it’s worth comparing the brightness and accuracy. Not sure if the bosch ones are any good. Hopefully this helps someone.

what project is it? have you try Huepar?
Need to do a heap of ceiling stuff to match up with floor stuff.
Not heard of Huepar, but the other one I was considering was the Uni-T stuff. Already have a heap of their tools for work and happy with them.
Ozito one works a charm, and comes with a not-too-bad tripod
I like Ozito for a lot of things, but not when it comes to anything that requires accuracy
Which Bunnings product do you have?
Lasertec CX2G
I'm looking at just doing cupboards on 2 adjacent walls, curtains & picture frames. I was thinking for the cupboards it'll be handy to have a 360 one, as I may do some floor to ceiling tiling as well in the future. Just home DIY stuff, reckon this is good enough or better to invest in 360?
I wonder if a used one worth it? It is even cheaper.
Accuracy +/-0.6mm/m. Does that mean that if the laser device is 3m from the wall, the line could be out by 2mm?
Technically 1.8mm out but yes
Their website (https://www.bosch-diy.com/au/en/p/quigo-green-0603663c00) lists it at ± 0.8mm/m. In this case, because you're not measuring anything with it, I think the accuracy is more like the laser spread, or the thinness of the line. I'm not sure if they mean the line is 1.6mm thick (i.e. 0.8mm above and 0.8mm below the midpoint) from a distance of 1m, or if it's a total of 0.8mm thick at 1m. Sorry, I don't have one to play with.
Hmm, although it could be that the deviation from one end of the line to the other could be that accuracy too. So from a 1m distance, one end of the line is 0.8mm higher or lower than the other end of the line. Yeah, sorry, I don't think I've helped here! 🤡
Can anyone recommend one that projects a grid? I need to paint a mural
If you are a signwriter like I am which I am assuming you are, I recommend just getting a cheap projector and hook up your laptop directly to that.
Great idea. I have both. Cheers
The bosch vs this one; Firecore Self Leveling Green Cross Line Laser Level — F113-XG https://amzn.asia/d/11Pbqhn
Appears the firecore one is rechargeable
I have a Bosch, but I would go the firecore. It's lithium which means it's likely 3.6v where as the Bosch with AA doesn't like recharbles that usually sit at 1.2v each compared to non-rechargeable 1.5v and these lasers don't respond well to the lower voltage, which means with the bosch you end up changing batteries very frequently if recharbles (like 20-30 minutes) or have to buy and dispose of Alkaline
Firecore are used plenty overseas with a good reputation.
its not lithium. you can see two 1.2v AA batteries on the photo.
Does it really matter? This Bosch one from memory uses AAA, so for $10 at ikea it's rechargable too.
This one has been good in my experience (as a home DIYer)
I have a similar style one and would recommend spending more and getting one that can shoot vertically up and down as well. For things like downlight marking out, makes life so much easier.
Something like this would be better imo https://www.redbacklasers.com.au/product/unl59-auto-levellin…
Just an FYI, most laser levels dont come with a tripod
Any camera tripod will work (and vice versa).
All laser levels have a universal fitment to tripods. So factor that cost into your purchase and shop around.
Self levelling is so handy, I bought a different one when it was on sale, a pain to get it level manually, especially when having to move it around.
Seems to be gone.
