I don't know if there are fakes sold by Amazon or they differ depending on the production batches, the one I bought from Amazon is lighter and feels fake compared to the one I got from rebel sports.
Gee. You wouldn't think so with 4.8 review score and over 1,600 reviews. Surely not.
Mine is definitely not the same, and there are other players who have bought it from stores and theirs are different as well.
There a YouTube video from a Thai bloke that shows the differences between real and fake Mikasa balls.
As much as I love Amazon, it wouldn't be the first time I had received a counterfeit product (although they were still very helpful with refund processes). There should be a regulation weight to the balls that you can find info on via the mikasa website.
I agree and I have received counterfeit items myself. Unfortunately I didn't notice it at the start and we didn't play with it until it was too late, I only use it for warm up now.
