If you have kids then they might play with it
Does anybody actually "play" with these large lego sets? They're just for building and displaying usually right?
Yeah… I got 4 year old at home and we play with large sets all the time.
Even modular sets or Taj Mahal or Disney Castle as well. She loves it haha
I'm building a city which will have different areas. A Minecraft stop, a City fun zone, a City CBD area, and then other miscellaneous bits. The kids like to use the train tracks and the road system to move the minifigs around.
The trick is to spend thousands of dollars.
lol mine sometimes play with it, but the issue is a lot of bits and pieces just fall off, because theyll knock some bit off then all the pieces are everywhere, i kind of gets frustrating.
This is really not a LARGE Lego set.
I get the feeling Lego pricing is just coming down to meet market expectations rather than discounting. These prices are where I’d START to consider purchase if I really wanted one of them.
yeah that's true, and these days kids want the most expensive sets, make it once and that's it. In the olden days we used to re-assemble and use our creativity to make other things.
I'm one of those kids lol
Yep, in my days we just a bucket of bricks, I would be making my house, gun shaped weapon, sword, or whatever, but personally I think it was more fun. I mean you can still do it, but I personally think no kids these days would sit down playing with a bunch of bricks building their own creations. Their brains are like addicted to cocaine-melon on youtube.
…they want instant everything, ticktock especially, seen that, done that, next, next, yeah
@9hundred: That's actually what scares me. Youtube + Streaming services I personally feel will bring up a generation of impatient people, and ones that want instant gratification, which is not healthy at all.
Reminds me of that weird Penguin toy I got as a kid, where the Penguins climb up and then slide down automatically. That was seriously the best toy of my life.
was forgotten about this, until you mentioned it here. Wish i have it when i was a little kid. i can only watch other kids play with it and window shop
Yes it was painful watching other kids with it and trying to enjoy it vicariously at the toy shop windows……but oh man when I got it as a birthday present, good times.
haha yeah that thing was so cool hahaha
Was going to go for the LEGO® City Centre 60380 $179 (44% off) deal, but unfortunately, seems like it is finished.
All others are 44% off, but this one is 10%
love it but i think its just gonna be collecting dust after i built it
