I've seen some great deals out in Turkey and I thought I'd explore some other yearly subscriptions I have.

Turns out there's a great deal on a 12-month membership using the same technique as outlined in (and full credits to) the Grammarly deal and the Disney+ deal

You can purchase Runescape Bonds via the in-game store on your app, charging you "local" pricing.
You can then redeem 20 bonds for a 12-month Premier Membership.
This Premier Membership gives you some "enhanced" benefits over regular membership, but of course counts as regular membership nonetheless and also transfers to your Old School account (which was my original intention)

Google FX rates suggest TRY₺720 is approximately $40.59, my card charged me $41.04, which is not a complaint in any way, just letting you know.

Here are the steps copied from the Disney+ deal, altered for Runescape membership below:

For Android Users:

  1. Create new Google account on phone
  2. Delete cache in Google Play Store (not sure if needed)
  3. Select new account in Google Play Store
  4. Add payment method and select Turkey as Country
  5. Uninstall Runescape and Old School Runescape if you have it installed
  6. Open Google Chrome/browser on your phone in an incognito window (set window to desktop mode)
  7. Search Runescape on Google Play store in your browser
  8. Log in on new account and install Runescape to your phone via the browser
  9. Link new account so that you can use Google to log in to your Runescape character (not sure if needed) Confirmed not required
  10. Open app on phone, login using new Google account as per normal
  11. Purchase 20 bonds on the in-game store 10 at a time for TRY359.99 each for total of TRY719.98 (or 1 at a time for 35.99 each for total of TRY719.80 - this really isn't worth your time but I thought I'd add this in true OzBargain fashion)
  12. Redeem 20 bonds on the in-game store for 12 months membership

This method adds 365 days to your account whether you have an active membership or not.

Confirmed that you can repeat this process to add multiple years at this discounted price in case they update prices in the future

Edit:
Because this method involves purchasing bonds, you can use this to score some cheap in-game gold by selling the bonds.

As you cannot transfer bonds between RS and OSRS, use the OSRS in-game store to purchase Bonds instead if you want to use this method to sell bonds at the GE for OSRS GP. The TRY price is the same.

Some have found mixed success in purchasing bonds via OSRS, for me it did not work, YMMV

        Yup i was able to buy 3 times before error. I believe the error is on runescape side. As i tried different cards and google account.

        One thing i havent tried was using another device as i got the same error on another osrs account right away.

    Did some more research cost of lira to 1m osrs is 0.27 AUD. Next cheapest is indian rupee which is 0.72 AUD to 1m osrs.

    Seems like mexican price went up as its the same as indian rupee per 1 mil.

    For context you can buy from third party sellers at current rate of 0.37-0.39 aud to 1m 07

    Which means this lira deal is #1 at the moment if you can maximise it.

    I used to love this game and then suddenly a few months ago I lost all interest once I hit proper end game. Only useful items left to get are scythe, shadow, and torva.

        How is that not end game? I’m not going to do content for the sake of it. Like the bludgeon for example, it’s pretty much useless at this stage of my account so no point doing Sire. Same with nightmare and other bosses that I can’t think of atm

    Not gonna risk my account. Jamflex support is the worst customer support ever and I don't want to get banned for circumventing regional pricing. It's something they've done before and will probably continue to do.

      I've heard that if you pay the difference back, they will unban your account, but knowing Jamflex, they'll probably take your money and leave your account banned for another 6 months before they unban it.

      Seen this a few times, but not many/any posts of people being banned for. Same for changing Steam region, heaps of people using ARS/RUS currency and logging in daily nowhere near those countries, never seen a ban.

      Seen it mentioned on reddit and black market site. One guy mentioned spending a few grand buying bonds and all jagex did was limit the currency he was able to purchase bonds going forward.

    I found why I couldn't buy bonds on RS3. Looks like if you only have a character on osrs and then sign into RS3 with the same account it won't let you buy bonds since it views you as a brand new account.

    On my main which has an account on both RS3 and OSRS I was able to buy 20 bonds without issue. Guess I'm giving up on the ironman lol.

    FYI, i was trying many of my accounts, seems like those account that arent linked to my jagex account, i was able to purchase bonds.

    Few accounts were able to buy up to 25-30 bonds before getting the error. So far amassing up to 100 bonds.

              I've sold the bonds, and the next day (which is today) I'm able to purchase more

    Quick question - should the currency in the Runescape app show up as AUD or TRY? After repeating the steps it's showing me 10 bonds for $99 AUD in both the app and then in the little Google Play store pop up. Should those both instead show the price in TRY?

    I'm getting an error "Check that you have the correct country selected in your Play account" while on a VPN and even using an OlduBil card. Anyone else experiencing this?

    Got to the last steup of buying bonds however BlueStacks spits out the error "ERROR" when clicking "buy now".
    Any ideas?

    I then did it in RS3 and it just spins, then nothing pops up. Could it be bluestacks thats the issue?
