This is a gorgeous monitor, but beware of the imperfections that can occur randomly.

There's a flaw in some of the panels themselves, which cannot be fixed by a firmware update.
If your usage involves a lot of sky-blue to pale blue and orange colors, you'll notice a vertical stripe on it.

I also used this monitor for a long time, but after my first monitor was accidentally broken, I discovered this defect in the second batch, which came with extended prosupport.

The problem is that this monitor has been discontinued in the production line, and Dell customer service from the prosupport line informed me that there's no replacement product for this model on the "global Dell support line." Instead, they shipped a U2422HE, which has a Type-C hub but comes with a 16:9 screen. This might not be suitable for those who want a 16:10 panel.

So, if you're lucky and patient enough for a panel lottery, it's a perfect monitor. However, if you're not, you might want to consider other monitors.

So if you have enough luck and time for panel lottery or patience, It's perfect monitor but If you don't, you could find other monitors.

Thanks for your post. I'm still using a dual U2415 setup.
I prefer 16:10 to 16:9 - that extra height makes a productivity difference to me.
Sounds like I might have to wait for the next model then.

If you're looking for a good 24" usbc monitor in this price range id recommend HP I've linked below. I got one 9 months ago and its fantastic plus with QHD you have plently of vertical real estate. Build quality is also top notch.

If I had to find a criticism I'd say all the I/O located on the back (rather than some on the side) could be a pain however it doesn't bother me as I usually have dongles permanently plugged in.

        • Hi, thanks for the recommendation. This HP monitor looks good. Do you happen to know what is the minimum height with stand if I adjust the monitor to the lowest? I only have around 40cm (in terms of height) to play with so would appreciate if you could let me know.

          • @RedDevil_1999: Height range (from top of screen) goes 340mm - 485mm. Webcam poped out adds 40mm.

Pushed all the way down the bottom of the screen is almost on the table.

            • @Doesnotcompute: Thanks mate. If I understand correctly, when it is pushed all the way down, the height from top of the screen to the table is 340mm (plus 40mm when the webcam pops out). Is that correct?

Fantastic news if it is since it will just fit for me!

  • How does this compare to P2423?
