Remington RX7 Ultimate Head Shaver, HC7500AU $119 + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store) @ Harvey Norman

120

Been waiting for ages to post my first deal and its for my bald brethren.

This is the second lowest price I have ever seen. There was a post earlier on OZB that was for $101 @ Amazon. However, they have been at $ 157 for a while. Previous Expired Deal.

As far as I can see, the deal is not restricted to suburb/state as I found it online.

About this item:

5 CUTTING HEADS: With 30percent increased flex for maximum contact and skin-close results, compared our RX5 head shaver, you won’t need to go over the same area repeatedly

TURBO SPEED FUNCTION: Easily power through areas with denser hair at the touch of a button

DUAL TRACK BLADES: The RX7 provides the ultimate close shave with Dual Track Blades that shave to 0.2mm

ERGONOMIC DESIGN: The design makes it easier to hold, fitting comfortably into your hand for improved control when cutting

LESS MESS: Detachable head and hair pocket for easy clean

  • this any better than the 40 dollar ones from kmart?

    • +1

Was even cheaper at Aldi, I believe.

Which I have been using for like 8 months to shave my head and it has been working really well

    • I personally can't comment on Kmart or Aldi ones. But I have 2 mates using the Remington and they swear by it.

  • I bought this awhile back maybe from the previous ozb deals. I use it every week, it's improved my shaving experience and efficiency. would recommend. ymmv of course depending on your hair/head etx

  • I have this and its been good, you do have the replace the heads every 6 months and theyre $40-50

    • Where do you get them? I swear they were readily available until recently.

      • They recently showed up in stock on shaver shop

        https://www.shavershop.com.au/remington/ultimate-series-rx5-…

But are already out of stock. So either refresh their page periodically or you have to email Remington directly to order.

        • That's for the RX5, the RX7 has improved flexibility apparently. Are the heads the same?

      • THere's an order form and contact details in the manual (which you can find on their website)

        • Mail in order form!? What year is this?

I had the HX5 and returned it because it was absolute trash, not even enough torque to cut hair using all 5 blades - you had to lightly press so that only the middle cutter was touching otherwise it would stall.

My hubby says this is a monstrosity of design and function. Perhaps another example of a solution looking for a problem. Still, the land won’t fill itself, so I’m glad we haven’t yet reached peak consumerism

I've had one of these for months and as a bald bro I wouldn't use anything else now. Surprised by some of the negative comments, I find the design and function perfectly suited to enable a quick and reasonably consistent shave.

  • If you can find stock been using rapid cut turbo for years brilliant

    https://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/electrical/personal-care/pc-…

    • I use this also, but theres a difference in cutting length between that and the 'shaver' in this deal (ie shaver is ~0)

  • Grabbed one of these two to three months ago after breaking one of the clips on the head previous version -which lasted me a solid 3 years. For some reason this one doesn't feel harsh on the back of my neck during a trim but there's a delayed irritation (feel only, no rash) whereas the previous was unnoticeable. I haven't conditioned to it over time either.

There turbo mode is great though for when I reach the 3 day mark without a going over. Saves a lot of time compared to the previous model.

I just bought this one from amazon.

Apparently this one is really good.
And its from amazon so if its crap its going right back to amazon no loss just time

    • Did you receive it yet and if so how does it cut. What made you choose this one?

      Are replacement blades available?

  • How close do they cut? I've been using the old razor and shave cream for the past 20yrs. I shave every second day. Come day 3 the growth shits me

    • +1

Not quite as close a shave as a razor, but close enough for me. No nicks and easier to go back when you find you missed a spot 10min after leaving the bathroom too in my experience.

As a DE head shave fan I was surprised how close this got. Not as good as razor, but acceptable. Problem I found on first couple of uses is that I was going too far down back of my neck and it grazed it something crazy bad (bleeding). Takes some getting used to.
