        I have been looking around on Gumtree/FB past few weeks and most people are wanting over $2k for their 3080 rig.
        I was having a hard time justifying a second hand system with these new ones at around the same price.. Or in this case less than $2k for the 4070 build.

          Gumtree and Marketplace are full of scammers who pretend to get the same money back they paid for something and hunters who buy cheap stuff at the lowest price to sell back to other people.
          So when you need something you have to keep looking and set alerts.
          You can make a good deal if you can assemble the computer.

    As someone with no tech knowledge how does this compare to the recent techfast deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/790496)?

      Although they have a better GPU, the quality of components is poor. You are sacrificing quality components for a better GPU, our deal has:

      • Next Generation CPU and AM 5 platform vs Previous Generation CPU and AM 4 platform
        • Higher single core and multi core performance
        • AM5 platform that will get support for longer and newer CPUs that will be compatible
      • Far better next generation motherboard
        • Better VRMs
        • Our VRMS have cooling
        • Gen 5 PCIE support
        • DDR5 RAM
        • All our M.2 Slots support at least Gen 4 PCIE
        • ARGB Support
        • The list goes on but the point it our motherboard is higher quality and is a higher tier board
      • Unsure what SSD they are putting in, with ours you are getting a solid Gen 4 SSD
      • 32GB of DDR5 ram vs 16GB of DDR4 RAM

      Their build is good, and their GPU is a higher tier GPU, but our build is a build with quality components and is backed by our quality support team and fast dispatch times

      Depends on what you want from PC, if you want to go for 4k then get 4080, if you want anything less then this deal as it has better parts and ddr5 - thought newer components don't necessarily mean you will get better performance
      I would get this and upgrade the card but it's more expansive

    I was about to jump on the previous R5 7600 deal, but if i downgrade this to 3070, its basically the same, with better cpu/cooler/ssd? Or am i missing something??
    (Previously had almost got one of the cheaper ryzen/3060ti deals, but by the time i upgraded cpu/mobo etc, it was nearly the same as the r5 7600! 🤔)

    Have gone ahead and placed an order to replace the the old PC my wife has been using.

    Customiser was nice and easy to use. Dropped to the base 4070 as a $500 for maybe 20-25% gfx improvement at 1440p didn't seem justifiable, when the 4070 will play almost everything at ultra at 1440p, and I can save that $500 to put towards something next gen if it's needed down the track.

    Asking those who purchased this deal from Enigma. Anyone has got an issue with the Aorus NVMe drive not being screwed in properly?
    Started my PC up yesterday but couldn't detect any drive. Upon inspection it was found that the Aorus drive was not mounted properly, you can still press the non-connection end down further. The screw used was the one from the Asus motherboard heatsink, and it didn't fit the Aorus with heat sink. Just wanted to know if your M.2 drive has got a different screw to go with the Aorus?
    P.S. the drive was detected after I did some magic with rubber band and blutack, and now installed with Win11. Still need a long term solution though.

    They’re offering me the non wifi version for $15 off which seems like a bad deal.
    They didn’t give me an ETA for new Mboard stock.
    Looks like they will cancel :(

        @daffyd Thanks for the suggestion mate. The techfast deal ends up being ~$2600 all up when delivered and with extra RAM. I'm targeting 1440p gaming on a widescreen so arguably don't need a 4080.

        This Enigma PC deal at sub $1900 hits a great sweet spot for me when you downgrade to the 4070 from the Ti at $500 off!

        The Nebula PC deal is ~$250 more for a similar build - albeit with the triple OC version of the 4070, which probably doesn't make much of a difference.
