  • 200 will not last one month

    • I know. We are averaging 12 a day with our 8 week old.

Our 2 year old though we are going a lot slower through them with day care and a lot less changes needed. Hopefully toilet trained soon and no more nappies for them!

      • +7

Just mix these ones with the cheap ones from Coles or aldi. Will save you some money. My baby is over 2 and we only use these fancy ones at night or for long car trips

        • We do this as well!

        • +4

          this is the way

        • Worked well for us for two kids too

        • Used to do this. Now daughter is 2, we only use nappies at night.
Old Aldi nappies wouldn't be great over night. New version has been fine. $11 for around 50 off memory.

P.S. we used reusable nappies during the day. I think it helped her learn when she did a wee faster. Transitioned to potty then toilet in a matter of days when she was around 2 and a half.

    • My biggest regret in raising kids was the amount of landfill i created. It's still sitting there and will be until they are about 30 years old by which time the plastic will have leached into the waterways. Please consider reusable options.

      • Hessian sack?

      • +2

I get you mate, I truly do. I feel quite guilty about the amount of waste generated. Having said that, reusable is an appalling alternative.

Just the thought of cleaning 10+ diapers a day when you're sleep deprieved with an infant bawling their head off, naah thank you. To the landfill it is - I'll be green in other areas.

Source: dad of a 5 week old with colic.

        • +1

Thanks. I'm only asking for people to consider it. There are options where you only throw out a smaller insert, and wash the rest with the baby grows etc. Some only use disposables at night.
It works for some, and that's a few tons of landfill saved. I really don't know what the answer is butwe have to try. Shame some feel the need to neg

Thanks op. Sadly it's nappy, not nappy pants.

    • +1

I find nappy pants not as absorbent, maybe I'm doing something wrong…

      • +3

yeah I agree, but it's a bit more convenient, especially my kid doesn't like to lie down for nappy change …

        • +2

Nappy pants for overnight are a complete winner. Very rarely do we have a leak of #1 or #2.

We find them super absorbent for our lil boy. (1.5 years)

          Aldi nappys during the day.

    • Don't know what size you need but Nappy pants seem to be on special too

Isn't this normal price (or thereabouts)? My last order for these as S&S a month or two ago was $51.

    • +1

Was $60 ($51 s&s) and has been a few times. This is the best price since Feb when they were $54 before s&s. With inflation unlikely to get that low again.

Regular price now is 78 so best to stock up when they have these "sales".

      • Ah thanks! Have stocked up.

      • Kinda funny that this is cheaper than the prime day deals.

    • got mine for $46.30

      • Others have gone up a bit from $48 to $49

  • Saw the link before it hit the main page and have a newborn on the way in January but size 1 was already unavailable, hopefully comes up again in the meantime!

    • +4

Don't get too many size 1… Some larger babies (like mine) jump to size 2 within first couple of weeks.

    Beware, is this true???

2 separate reviews, there seems to be something to it, I'm not going there. Probably country of origin different, but still "Huggies" brand

DO NOT BUY!! These are fraudulent and fakes. We always use Huggies nappies and noticed that the quality of this box was very low compared to usual, including urine seeping out of the nappy and causing the external pictures to fade and blur.
So we bought another box from Coles to compare. You can see in the picture - the right side one is real and the left is the fraudulent copy that Amazon is selling.

Really disappointed that you are prioritising greed over babies health, Amazon! We have reported this scam to Consumer Affairs.

Disappointed with these nappies. Quality not the same as those purchased at Coles/Woolworths etc. They feel cheap and plasticky.

    • +1

I've purchased these for years (including recently) and they are no different to those purchased locally.

    • I've purchased many of these off Amazon and other places (WW, Coles) + different brands of nappies.

There's absolutely no difference, this is just FUD.

    • I've always purchased size 6 and never had any issues. If they are fake, they still work pretty good!

    • Meh. Been using them for the last 4 years for my two kids without dramas.

    • I've also read the reviews and have had no problems with the Amazon ones. They are the exact same as the Costco ones which I also buy.

    • +1

there seems to be a difference. i remember getting two boxes n one was made in Singapore n the other was from China. China made was a bit better, but couldn't complain about the one that was manufactured in Singapore.

  • Thanks OP. No boys 3s, but snagged a couple of boxes on size 4 as good price for down the track. Best price I've seen in a while from Amazon for nappies!

  • Sydney auburn Costco store dropped their price to 59.99 recently. (Down from 62.99, after a rise a few months ago)
Wish I hadn’t opened to return them.

    Grabbed a box now too.

  • +1

If you plan on having more than one kid, and value konry, look into reusable nappies.

    • +1

This! even the ROI with just one kid was pretty fast. Think of the immense landfill created by each kid on just disposables.

    • +3

      value konry

      Google didn't turn anything up.

      • hahaha! Value MONEY. Not sure how that worked out

    • how do manage the daily cleaning routine? or leave them for a week?

      • Still figuring that part out. Cleaning them and leaving them in a bucket until there is enough to do a big wash, then once the hot wash is done just do a regular wash with everything else.

  • +1

finally they price matched bigw. I was waiting for a long time for Amazon to price match coles and bigw

  • Perfect timing. Cheers OP

  • Looks like the quantity in each box may have decreased slightly?

    • This is a change that they have made in the last few months on the bulk boxes.

    • Yeah.. they reduced the quantity and increased the price. thanks to inflation & interest rate hikes.

      • How many did they use to have in the size 1 month supply box?

  • Thank you, OP.

  • +1

    Size 4 boys
    NEW COUNT 144…
    16 down…

Maybe boys are pooping less these days, so less requires for 1 month supply

  • If you are looking for Huggies Infant Nappies Size 2 (4-8kg) the 96 box ($0.30 / nappy) is better value than the 192 box ($0.41 / nappy)

    192 box = $78.00
    2 x 96 box (192 nappies) = $29 x 2 = $58.00

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B079RNC58K/?th=1

Probably to price match to Big W

  • Those have been as 144 in a box for a while now, I ordered those in June and May, and one before and all of those were coming from Amazon as 144 in a box. The ones in Costco have 148 in a box.

    • Is Costco cheaper

      • +1

not this time, they are usually around $60 per 148 pack of size 4… Amazon is cheaper with S&S every time it is around or under $60 (regular price on Amazon is $72)

  • Ultimates are also quite cheap at the moment, even the non-pants
