DC 5V 4A 20W total for those that don't want to click through on the USBs.

Looked instore yesterday but doesn’t say per port output, therefore likely 5w max each for a total usb output of 20w.

    No individual switch

    • To be fair, when has a surge-protected powerboard with individual switches ever been posted to OzB? (because if it has, I would've bought up several by now…)

      whats the benefits ?

  • New OzB question - is it ceiling compatible? XD

    Max Energy: 1050J
    Surge Protection Limit: 30,000A

How accurate is this figure for a $30 ALDI product?

The equivalent Belkin SurgePlus 8 Outlet 2 USB Surge Protector Powerboard is only rated at 900J with a much higher price tag.

The not necessarily well-loved Cyberpower board is rated at 2750 Joules protection, and I bought mine for <$30 via past deals.

I honestly consider Belkin a premium brand these days, you pay good money for good customer service and warranty. I only buy Belkin screen protectors because they have always replaced them no questions asked when they crack, the exorbitant cost becomes much better when you’ve had it replaced a few times over the warranty period.

Not to say aldi warranty and customer service isn’t adequate, that’s just why some are willing to pay the premium for that name.

    • Thank you for that. I looked at the box and couldn't see anything.

  • Is this a Heymix clone?

    • +6

Nah this is a genuine Bauhn

  • Any info available on the suppressed voltage limit which is apparently an issue with the Cyberpower according to a different thread.

  • Bunnings equivalent

    This or Belkin?

Cable as always too short. 1.1m

These were $19.99 at my local coles yesterday.

    • +3

Bauhn is an ALDI exclusive brand. How were that at Coles?

      • Probably had the Tempo Help number inside.

      • It was the coles brand

        • Do you have the link handy?
I couldn't find any 8-outlet power board on the Coles website.

@DoctorCalculon: I tried looking as well but couldn’t find it on the website. If I happen to stop by, I will post some pictures. It’s exactly the same as the one in the Op only black colour. It’s in the bins near at one end of the store where they have all this random stuff.

For all the folks negging me - here’s a photo from my local coles.

Since these are reduced to clear, stock will be store dependent. Hence, they don't list them on the website.
        Nice find!

  • I had this a few years ago, it eventually shorted fuse, ruined cables, and black charing (fire like) on the board.

Never went back to aldi ever again for electronics

  • I refuse to buy anything that doesnt crackle and pop like Cyberpower :)

Seriously, just by a Belkin and get on with life…

  • Just bought a black power board at Coles with same feature set for $20 in the best buys bin.
