  • Nice deal for 2.59$ each pack.
How does these compare to the huggies wipes?

    • +8

1000% better. I find huggies rips, curash does not.

      • i second this, i bought a pack of Huggies to test, Curash is definitely WAY stronger. Huggies does the job tho, if you can get it cheaper than the Curash I would still buy, otherwise Curash is definitely the winner hands down.

      • What about WaterWipes? Seems like they're the only ones that are actually only 2 ingredients and there are reviews saying curash can be irritating/burning? Also with regards to rip and tear resistance it seems like just based on ozbargain comments from past deals there a lot of conflicting YMMV about all the different brands.

        • +1

I much prefer waterwipes. Curash are dryer, whereas you can actually squeeze water out of waterwipes (if you wanted to).
Both Curash and waterwipes are strong enough, so if the price is right i do buy curash.

    • our boy reacts to the huggies water wipes, where he doesn't with these. So we exclusively use Curash wipes.

  • +2

Not a bad product but the K-mart ones are on par and less than half the price.

    Looks like a typo… suggesting S&S with 15% discount?

    Should read as: $18.25 ($16.43 S&S)

    • +1

Mine is showing per the OP with 15% off

    • +1

      Nope, 15% off with S&S

  • +1

Well, in case anyone interested in the other Curash baby wipe product, Big W is selling Curash Babycare wipes 8 packs of 80 for $22. It is cheaper by a bit, comparing to $18.25

  • +2

Kmart and BigW wipes for sure

Don't need this fancy overpriced butt wipes

  • +4

Thing I hate about this brand is you pull one and 20 come out, which I'm sure they do on purpose. I feel like Huggies is more consistent (still happens though).

    • +8

      They all do that

But the trick is to cut a slit from the middle of the hole to the side and then only one comes out each time ;)

    • 4.30am feed reporting in

Definitely feels like they pull multiple over Huggies. I thought it was just the way I was using them

      • +2

Highly recommend getting an oxo wipe box (this one https://www.amazon.com.au/OXO-Tot-Perfect-Wipes-Dispenser/dp…).

I was very skeptical, but I soon realised that its such a remarkable quality of life improvement that really makes some of the misery go away.

        • how does it perfect pull ?

          • @capslock janitor: Has been working for us - perhaps not perfect, but definitely heaps better than using the pack by itself.

Easier to pull out one wipe at a time.

            • @ThadtheChad: i mean whats the mechanism? is the stack pushed tighter or sumnn

              • @capslock janitor: So its very simplistic - a heavy weight with a window cut out that holds the packet in place. You pull the tissue out and somehow more than one doesnt pull out.

    • The trick i use is to put some weight into the pack when pulling. E.g. if it's on the ground, I put my knee on the body of the pack, then pull 1 wipe out. Works for me

      • I have a re-usable box thing and have little 1kg weights in the bottom, still get 5 come out at a time sometimes haha. Huggies have much less of an issue.

Does anyone used this wipes in wipe warmer?

    • +1

      Umm what?

      • +1

No one on ozbargain should be paying for a warmer or the electricity it uses

    • +2

Yep, I use in the Prince Lionheart EVO. Works great and a full Curash Water Wipes 80 Pack fits perfectly where the Huggies ones are narrower and taller and I have to take a few layers of wipes off to fit it in.

I like to add a 1/4 cup of water in the wipe warmer with every changeover of wipes to get them more moisture in the wipes also with the Curash water wipes.

Edit: After reading the other comments below, I'll be getting rid of the Curash and buying Waterwipes instead.

If I’m not mistaking these wipes contain 3 ingredients, 1 of which can affect an infant’s nervous system. I was going to buy these until I started doing some research on it. Correct me if I’m wrong please!

    • +1

      What is that ingredient?

Edit: "Phenoxyethanol is thought to cause central nervous system damage in exposed infants."

Brilliant, I just ordered 5 boxes, will be returning. Thanks for the heads up mate.

        • -1

Thanks but I'll err on the side of caution with my child and not regularly expose her to things that some people say is "safe to tolerate".

I'm sure talc was safe to tolerate back in the day as well.

    • I remember posting about this years ago, brought the shelve empty when woolies was on sale then my sister told me about the ingredient that was in curush but was banned in EU and US. Not sure if formula the same but ended up using them as expensive eating out table wipes.

      Waterwipes all the way…

    • It's a tradeoff because wipes need to stay moist which makes them an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and other nasties without some sort of preservative - that's why even WaterWipes has more than just water. Most preservatives aren't going to be good for anyone in high doses, but then neither is bacteria. If chemicals are a genuine concern, cloth wipes and water are really the only way to go- they're actually really great to use at home, they do a much better job of cleaning too and are easy to manage and wash (at least, prior to starting solids…)

Used these once and hated them FWIW. The thick Aldi wipes have been my go to. The textured pattern makes clean up way easier.

  • +2

Chemist Warehouse also have these for the same price and you can pick up. Though after reading about this Phenoxyethanol causing central nervous system damage, I might stick to huggies

  • +2

We tried these once and my daughter got a big rash. She said they sting. Went back to Huggies.

These are only used for wiping up messes in our house now.

    • Can confirm I used these to wipe my face after a heavy feed and it did sting my face

  • If you dont need it delivered same price at Chemist Warehouse.

  • is it GOOD for personal use on wriggly 50 micrometre babies?

  • Great for personal use once you start to detect seepage from your crack

  • The Curash from Amazon aren't the same as the ones you buy from the pharmacy or supermarket. They are made in Taiwan and shipped from China.

    • Not the ones I got. Might depend on the seller.
Edit: even if you check the pictures from the link, it clearly states aus made.

      • -1

Yeah that's what I thought until it took a week and when I checked where it was at I could see it was shipped from China.

        • This obviously wasn't the official Amazon listing, then.

  • Wish ALDI still sell their water wipes by cartons. Was only $12 per 6 packs before everthing got marked up.

    • i saw they had big boxes 2 weeks ago, is that what ure talkn bout

was either their mamia brand or the other brandname i forget

  • Their non-water wipes also appear to be on sale and down to the lowest its been this year $20.28($17.24 S&S) for 640 wipes. Im running low from my stash from the all time lows from the sales last year so just ordered a few more
