Finish Classic Dishwasher Tablets 110-Pack $17.99 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Chemist Warehouse

270

Been waiting for these to go on sale for a while. Used to pay around $13 for them back in the day, but couple Covid with stagflation plus throw in bit of corporate greed you end up with $17.99

Hack…. If you buy through eBay and spend over $50 in their Chemist Warehouse ebay store you should get free delivery, something they are not offering from their bricks and mortar stores.

Thank you so much! I don't live near a CH, so the free delivery hack is much appreciated. :)

  • How does this compare with the more expensive ones, such as the Finish Ultimate Pro All in 1 or Finish Powerball?

    • +3

The cheap ones do the job for me. It's all consensed powder plus marketing.

I break about 25% of the tablet for prewash.

if i recall some reading i did a long time ago… It depends on your dishwasher as results may vary but generally most tablets including the expensive ones contain too much detergent etc. You're better off using a powder where you can control what's going into the machine and it ends up cheaper.

Personally, I use these or fairy and don't have any issues with residue or a good clean, using a Bosch.

In my scenario they're not great - the fancy ones seem to do a considerably better job with my crappy dishwasher
Second to that they're all individually wrapped which is annoying

      • Agreed powerball is much better. You can get at a reasonable price from reject shop. Or ho for aldi's one.

The final $13 week was in September 2022

  • Used to pay around $13 for them back in the day

Didn't they have the red power ball in them too

    • i don't think so

  • Maybe a bonus cash backs or higher percent would help bring it back down again to $13?

    • If only this promo popped up yesterday with the shopback westpac lounge bonus

    • I have CW GCs from late 2022's Amex deal, 20% off

  • What’s the point without the Power Ball 🫤

You'll find the difference is mostly the marketing

How do these compare to the Also ALDI 40pk tablets?

    • +1

I switched from these to the Aldi brand - Never looked back. Do the exact same thing.

      • +2

I'm currently using the ALDI ones and have been for the last 4 years but was curious if these would do batter (even though I've got zero complaints with the ALDI ones - I think they're great). Thanks for the feedback 😉

    • Aldi 10 in 1 vs Aldi 18 in 1?

      • +1

I use the cheaper of the two, ten in one maybe, works great

      • I use the Aldi "Logix Platinum 18 In 1 Dishwashing Tablets Lemon". They're cheap at Aldi, and Choice - which I generally find pretty good for reviews - rated them second best out of all dishwashing tablets, above much more expensive ones from Finish etc. But truly, those specific ones from Aldi are amazing and the machine smells so fresh after each wash. I think they're around $7.50 for 40 tablets, at least in VIC. Available here. The other ones that I use are the "Earth Choice" tablets, which Choice rated only slightly lower than the Aldi ones. They are a fair bit more expensive, still not crazy and often on sale, but can be much easier to find (available at Coles, Woolies, IGA).

        • Cheers. I tried the Aldi $4.99 10 in 1 tabs. They seem decent enough. Not as good as Finish powerball, but pretty close. I'll try the 18 in 1 next.

  • Cheapest I've seen for a while for these, but I've switched to the Fairy All-In-One pods which are $24 for 84 from The Reject Shop.

Always $19 @ The Reject Shop

    • They had a recent deal of 2 for $35

  • +1

Bad news. ..I paid just 8 cents per tab in 2018.
Good news. ..the tabs I bought them will last until 2025..🫢 ..!

    • How many tablets for 7 years?

    • Cut in half…2030

  • These were $25 last week so I got them at The Reject Shop for $19.

    • you can price beat this deal at the reject shop

      • Can I do a return/repurchase? /JK.
I ran out 3 days ago and had to make a purchase. Oh well.

        • +1

Of course. You buy a new box and then return with the old receipt. It's a good Aldi trick too.

  • +1

Been using these for years in my Asko dishwasher and always worked well.

  • I've used these in a Bosch dishwasher and they are crap compared to the Aldi ones. Same wash cycle, similar level of soiled dishes, but food remains stuck. With the Aldi premium tablets all the dishes are spotless.

I save these cheaper (not by much, Aldi's are 19c/tablet all day, every day) tablets for dishes that are practically clean and just need a mild wash.

so works out 16c per unit.
Aldi equivalent is still cheaper @ 15c
