    I think that the first user review sums it up. It is more of a movie for Katy Perry fans. People going to the movies and deciding that it is the best thing on, probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.

  You also need to factor in the cost of shipping from the US (US$6-ish for me), and region code differences.

  The JB price reference doesn't really come into it - when its released over here in November, I'm sure the Aussie mass merchants (JB / Big W etc) will undercut each other as they do with most new releases, and you'll probably find the price comes down to around what Amazon are charging now. They tend not to advertise "we're going to be the cheapest by undercutting everyone" until a week or so from release.

  Guess one positive from getting it from the US is its released two months earlier than it is here.

    True, I always forget about region codes, due to using AnyDVD. I am sure that the movie will go down pretty quickly in price, though you can't beat 50% off for a pre-order.

  For blurays I'd probably go to the UK Amazon store. Don't need to spend time looking up if the film is region free or not.

  I saw the trailer for this before another movie (something really awesome and manly I'm sure) and noticed that the picture quality appeared to stunningly good. Is this how the whole doco/movie is?
