Saw this in local store and purchased, planning to build some cupboard this summer. Hope this will be useful as main tool.

not much of a deal, but i guess better then nothing. is this the team member discount price or do they get more off?
Yeh, I picked one up last year when they were half price at $32.50
You'll want a circular saw to do long straight cuts for making your cupboards OP.
Yeah i thought I’d like my jigsaw but it’s annoying and I’ll always use the circular saw when i can, even prepping for kitchen sinks. Much easier and more accurate.
Yeah, I call them JIGgily Saws because it's really hard to get one where the blade doesn't wobble.
I have only one set of blades that don't wobble in this Ozito jig saw despite them supposedly all being standard t-shank.
The quick release chucks were never as good as the old screw fasten ones. The blades there were rock solid stable with them.
Circular saw all the way or a lot of sanding to plum the cuts.
a good mitre saw is ideal, one that has a slide function
I dont think a mitre saw is going to have the depth for cutting cupboard doors. Table or circular with a track
Maybe this … costs a little more though
Most ozito products are good value but stay away from the mitre saw - I took it back.
I had the table saw as well. It was only good because I didn't need to use the fence as I built a table for it and used my table as the guide.
I definitely second using a circular saw for straight cuts with a straight edge. Much better than a jigsaw.
@ozzieblue: I have been on the fence about the table saw. I have the 165mm circular saw though and have never wanted to touch their mitre saw, its just too limited to be useful, which is why I'd probably consider the table saw.
The 165mm circular was pretty trash until putting a decent blade on it, this is the one I use and it made it such a vasty different expirience. Assuming the same would be said about the table saw.@AmperSand: I have this saw also. Yes the included blade is rubbish. However if you are wanting a saw that will stay true long term I would go for a better quality saw. That said I did use if for a fair bit of time until the plastic blade guard lifter gave way.
@gadget: I use this Ozito plunge saw for cutting boards and building kitchens. Get a good blade as well. It's great.
Waiting for sale on that one, Since almost a year 😔
ok boomer
have some respect for yourself and DON'T Buy Ozito for any tool you will use regular!
I have used and abused many Ozito tools (both their standard and PXC range) for over 15 years and they have never failed on me.
Come on. Not all Ozito tools are bad. I've been wanting to replace my Ozito brushless drill and hammer for ages but they still refuse to die!
Yeah, have some self respect and buy Einhell instead…
ozito has its place, and it is for the DIY non tradie. we don't use tools everyday, so spending $300 on a tool i will use once is a waste of money. i would go brushless if you use it regularly for DIY if it does the job. no need for an overpowered tools like makita if you aren't going to use it for work.
We've built a few basic tables for the workshop with our Ozito Jigsaw. No issues at all.
Also a shelf for our laundry and a couple of drywall repairs.I started reading wishfully assuming "we" is a company of carpenters who needed a workshop.
I ended realising "we" is a suburban couple with a shelf in their laundry.
Hahaha yep. The tables are for for going around/next to pottery wheels. So dont need to take much weight which is good because we aren't carpenters.
Show some photos!
Had his before for small DIY project..returned it back within 5 min of first use and bought the corded ozito jigsaw instead. Issue i found is not enough grunt even with full 4ah battery. One small bump and its aluminium base snapped. I own several ozito cordless products..this is the worst quality i found. Save your time..dont buy it imho.
Have this. Great little tool. Used it to create an attic floor.
Saw this in local store and purchased
Pun intended?
Does anyone have experience in how this compares to the Ryobi from previous [deal]?(https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/787102)
Great little tool if you replace the included blade and you bend the included guide rail back straight
I got it for $50 last week (in Mel) when the Ryobi deal was on, I think Bunnings was trying to keep it price competitive.
what is it normally?
