Obviously they're saying $19.95 has been the normal price since November 2022.

    • 140 upvotes and counting for the regular price…

Which isn't super cheap, but fair.

  • +4

Stupid q, but does this fit other drill brands?

    • +9

yes. Universal fitment shank = universal fitment shank.

      • +20

Shanks for explaining that, will be good for my drills then

        • +20

Nice of you to chuck a pun in that reply

        • +1

Perfect for my Brushed motor drill

      • -3

Stupid q, does it fit with hammer drill, drill driver, or impact driver?? Whichs

      • +1

I better shank a leg and get this one then! 😆

    • +2

Need to brush up on your reading skills and scour the description instead of sponging off others /joking not attacking..needed a quick release 😊

      • +2

        Go bite a bat 🌚

        • Don’t worry bud, not a stupid q at all. It will also fit an electric egg-beater so you can scrub all that burnt stuff off your kitchen pots and pans.

          • @Ozpit: Could still just use the drill with one of these for the pots and pans. ive done it many times.

  • What do you guys use this for?

Anyone use a drill for polishing or is it to suited?

    • +7

kitchen/bathroom mould. grout cleaning. I was just looking for a set

      • +2

and damn it does a good job - oh these stubborn grass stains!

      • Mr Cage, can it get mould out of caulking?

        • +1

Not sure of these brush can damage silicone caulking
Pour some thick bleach on the area with mould and cover with tissue papers to allow it to retain bleach.
Leave it for 24 hrs, it does the magic.

          • @Dave1988: is vinegar solution ok instead

            • +3

@capslock janitor: from what i saw on youtube, vinegar is the way to remove mould at a deeper level, preventing the mould from returning. bleach does remove mould but only a superficial level. i can't explain it very well but i think a google should help clarify. in addition, vinegar is safer, bleach is much more toxic for us.

i use both anyway then rinse thoroughly.

              • +1

@nicolascage: Not at the same time I hope!

                • @WhyAmICommenting: haha, to clarify rinse after bleach, rinse after vinegar!

                  • @nicolascage: Don't rinse out the vinegar! That's what keeps mould from recurring! Same with brushing teeth: don't rinse after brushing with toothpaste; just spit out the excess. Otherwise, the toothpaste doesn't do shit.

And, btw, for an extra disinfection and protection, rinse the bleach with hydrogen peroxide; it reacts with the bleach, producing oxygen and salt, both of which are toxic to mould and pretty much anything nasty (hence why people would preserve food in salt before refrigerators were invented).

Clean my shoes after ive gone hiking

Also on Amazon for a 22-piece set for $20.99 (not Ozito-branded though).

There are other options if you search 'drill brush set'.

  • +3

Any idea if there is a good soft brush in there? Something good for upholstery/leather cleaning, shoes, etc.?

    • +1

There is a soft brush included, not sure how soft, but turk182 says above that they clean their hiking shoes.

  • +3

Has anyone actually used these for cleaning etc? Does it work well or is it just a gimmick?

    • +4

      Works well

      • +2

Seconded - smashes out that shower grime and soap build-up!

        • +2

Does the grime get stuck in the bristles? And then how do you clean that out?

          • @furyou: @furyou I would like to know as well.

          • +3

@furyou: You use another brush from the set to clean the first one.

          • @furyou: Nah - I use Gumtion in the bush to help cut the scale and dissolve those fats n oils (yeah I know) and with just a tiny bit of water it works a treat.

Nothing gets stuck to the bristles, just rinse the foamy residue out under a tap with warm water and pack it away for next time!

        • Also good for lifting up dirt from car carpets (before vacuuming).

    • +6

I have this set. The mini red one is soft bristles.

The other 2 red bristle ones can be used in the shower and bath tub, for corners and flat surfaces. Works well. You need to ensure u change the drill direction occasionally because the bristles end up bent to one direction and become less effective.

The green one ive used on kitchen tiles to scrub off grease and stain (on low torque).

      • What exact type drill you use with them? Esp lowtorqie

        • Im using the aldi ferrex pro. The drill has multiple speed setting and 2 torque options (on the top), i set it to position 1 for lower torque and the drill it also set to drill mode (not hammer mode).

        • Ryobi for me - I tend to go for high speed

  • I've seen these all over ebay, aliexpress and amazon, from different sellers, not Ozito branded. Wonder if there is any difference. But for $19.xx - I'd take the Ozito brand! Just as cheap

  • +1

Is this any good? Seems like a brilliant idea

sure is, can really get rid of those tough spots

These sort of reviews shit me

The only thing worse is those people who leave 1 or 2 star ratings but don’t explain why.

agree.. review shit before using it… whats the point…

    • Bots or AI. Ignore.

    • Like every single review on aliexpress. It looks good, haven't used it yet, 5 stars.

    • +2

      Yep, maddening.

I think there are a bunch of people out there who feel obligated to respond to every single Amazon/eBay email that requests a review, as if it's a requirement or else they lose their membership…

So many "I haven't use it yet" along with a random star rating…

      • And here I am feeling guilty for never getting around to reviewing my items purchased

I used the toilet brush in the toilet bowl with the makita and let's just say I now have another 5 minute job to towel dry the walls.

      sounds like a shitty experience.

That's exactly what I was wondering, how does the drill not throw dirty water all over the area you're cleaning?

      • +6

I forgot to use the lower gear setting and had it on ultra high speed. Slow and steady wins the race.. I know that now :-(

Bought similar one from ebay and after a few months it rusted very badly, to the point the extension could not connect to brush. Any similar experience with this product?

    • +6

Meh it’s Bunnings just take it back if it does. Why I will pay a (small) premium to buy from places like Amazon or Bunnings, ease of returns. Especially useful for us impulse ozbargain buyers 😂

      • Any other stores like amazon bunnings premium returns?
