    Those $65 R1380Ts are a freaking steal.

  • $14.71 shipping for me

  • Australia Post - 5-6 Days - $17.81

$71.60 on Amazon for those ones (R1380T)

I haven't seen the R1850DB priced this low before.

I've been keeping an eye on a pair of R1850DB speakers for a while waiting for a good price and on reviewing previous OzB history, this seems to be the cheapest they've been, so I had to pull the trigger. Free postage via AustPost too, so for $109 super stoked, thanks OP.

I'm contemplating the S880DB for $229 with free shipping… lowest price ever according to camel. Anyone have a set of these?

  • +3

Can someone explain the differences between all these? :)

  • Need some help with the R1850DB. How would I go connecting this with a cable to a computer? I am currently logitechs with an aux cable, however cant see the same connection for this speaker.

    • +3

It has an RCA Input (White and Red) on the back of the speaker so it would be a 3.5mm (Computer) to RCA Cable (Speaker)

Edit: Supposedly it comes with that exact cable in the box.

Thanks. Got the R1850DB to replace my R1280DB

    • +1

Also thanks. I've joined the R1280DB to R1850DB party.
Seriously good speakers for the money.

  • Would the R1850db sound better than R1280DBs?

    • +2

From what I've read, yeah the 1850's sound slightly better (probably not much though). The 1380dbs have a newer bluetooth 5.1 standard

      • Thanks!

      • Went with the R1380DB because of the 5.1 bluetooth standard. Would rather less latency issues, plus the controls on the side suit my needs better than on the back of the speaker.

  • any of these good for hooking up to a tv?

    • +1

      Maybe.

Depends on if your tv has either a headphone output or (preferably) an RCA output.

      • Some smart TV's have bluetooth output

    • I have the 1850DB and use an optical audio out from the tv. No problems for sound quality, but the lack of HDMI - Arc functionality might be a killer for some.

Great for a small living room for the price.
Bass increases quite loud with volume increase but it's not a dedicated sub.

Worst part is the remote, hence why the 1855db is identical but with a different remote!

  • s350db if you want that bass, amazing for the price if you get them around 300 delivered or under, been using them as pc speakers for years.

Why no one is talking about R1380DB?
Would like to know how they compare to others ?

    Thanks

    • Definitely a bit uglier for me.

  • 1850db's sold out, 1380db's instore only now.

  • Just picked up the R1380T and hooked up to my PC. I'm no audiophile but to me they sound quite warm but a bit muddy. Plenty of volume if you crank them up. Not really an exciting listening experience but good enough for PC audio.

    Dammit OzBargain….

    there goes another $65

  • +1

Can anybody confirm if they come with all cables? Namely RCA to 3.5mm for PC?
I'm picking my 1850DBs up tonight and don't want to get home to find there's no cables

    • +1

the 1380Ts came with cables including 3.5mm to RCA

    • Can confirm mine came with RCA, RCA to 3.5mm, Optical cables.
I'm shocked that anybody includes optical.

      • The edifier value! Such great sound for the $$. Just set mine up, got 24bit 48khz outputted from PC via Optical - Tidal Hifi sounding great. Even better would be Qobuz 24bit @ 48khz.
