I just rang up my local Goodyear tyre and Auto service for a quote on four Good year Fuel Max tyres and was informed of a special starting Monday where you get one free if you buy 4 Fuel Max tyres(only pay for fitting -$25).
This is a great deal considering these tyres are designed to also save you money on fuel. Unsure of other details of the special.
I found the same during last years 4 for 3 sale.
assurance fuel max is not available elsewhere, it's exclusive to Good Year tyre store. I bought mine last year when they had the same sale.
In my experience (as I record how much I spend on fuel), the saving on fuel after I changed to these tyres are only about 1%.
officially the fuel saving is 4% but i can understand there are lots of variable to consider in this calculation
officially I would never trust figures made by or paid by the claimer, only non associated 3rd party testers be heard and then only treated as true if the result are verified by another non associated 3rd party.
nah.. ill believe whatever a manufacture claims about a product.

Quite a good Tyre, I have 10,000 km on mine, and economy has improved by about 0.6 l/100 km on highway cycle in a 2.5l 2007 Subaru Liberty wagon….
They have the buy 4 pay for 3 every 6 mths.
This is when I buy tyres, although I usually get Kmart to price match.
Last time Kmart had a fuel card offer when you bought 4 tyres and I received this at the same price.
I also use my fly-buys for a Kmart Tyre / Auto voucher as this seems to be the best value for fly-buy point redemption.
I've used this a few times and it helps with this otherwise expensive exercise.
Got it during the last promotion at the same offer.
Was charged $55 for fitting so check before with each store.
Still worthwhile shopping around after the quote at other retailers (ended going with Kmart auto admittedly not for this set but others) because the price of 4 was far less than the 3 quoted by goodyear ;)
