    Digital Thermometer $132

Got an inkbird for around $15 recently.

    Doubt this is 10x better…

I bought a Thermapen about 10 years ago. It died recently. Replaced it with a $30 Inkbird and 100% agree with you.

    • Faster readings and slightly more accurate. Fair enough that probably not worth it for most people.

There are 2 versions of the Inkbird. The cheaper one takes a few seconds to measure but the other one costs around $35 and measures in 1 second.

        • Cool. 1 second read is fantastic for $35.

The inkbird IHT-1P is also on sale at amazon for $18.99

Yeah not 10x for sure, but they are about as good as it gets for an instant read thermometer.

It isn't 10x better but I definitely felt a difference using it, i have the inkbird pro version and it seems to struggle when temping stuff being deep fried, whipped out my older gen thermapen and reading was fine. Another annoying thing is the hold button, I would press it accidentally often.
If you can afford it, get a thermapen. But an inkbird would be better then no temp probe.

      • This is why I jumped on this deal.
My inkbird is acceptable most of the time, but sometimes it just jumps around a lot (like +/- 5 degrees). It has served me well, but for something I use literally every day I’m happy to invest in the best I can get.

    • Totally agree. Inkbirk only takes 2 or 3 seconds and works great!

  • So would this item be in the "kitchen & dining" or "garden" category for cash rewards?
