is there a PCIE 4tb that is at this price level?
Looks like a good drive to consolidate all my junk data from various drives. I will sure jit the button if its another 15-20% cheaper.
Sabrent nvme posted today recently is $260, and another for $280.
SATA drives dont usually go cheap unless its PNY or Silicon Power.
This sata drive is like a tank.. i would put more trust in is lasting vs a PNY, Silicon Power or Sabrent nvme drive
@vid_ghost: Agree, 4TB is obviously for storage and backup purpose, good luck doing that with a cheap or no brand drive.
@vid_ghost: Not any more, MX500 switched components to cheaper ones as well, including TLC->QLC replacement.
@DmytroP: Still TLC for me

Is this drive better? I have a spare Dell inspiron With gen10 intel that this drive may fit……
don't worry, when it gets to $230 we will be saying "I'll pull the trigger 20% cheaper", or waiting for the 6TB
Not stingy to that level,….
Pay just over 100 for the 1tb version almost two years ago. So I feel $240-250 seem more reasonable given the SSD price crush.
Also I only need 4TB, my current main back up drive is only 4TB and don’t think even half is used. Just for all my backups of backups LOL!!
The reason they cost more is because you're paying a premium for the SATA interface.
It might be slower, but the big advantage is that it's far easier to expand SATA storage than it is to expand M.2 storage.
If your looking for an SSD that will outlast anything
Thanks OP, grabbed one, came up as $276.35 for me
Thanks, I canceled the $288.32 and reorder $276.35 lol
these run mint in a server, have done a raid 6 with 8 of these.
SSDs have really come down in price. Paid $400 for a 1TB in 2018.
Feel like SATA drives should be cheaper considering the tech and speeds… oh well
