    If you're actually curious, its basically explaining it's use.
    A parfum is 'perfume' you're meant to put it on at the start of your night and it should last MOST of the night.
    a 'toilette' (yes, it does mean Toilet) is a weaker strength with less staying power, meant to be offered by the attendant when you go to leave a bathroom to 'refresh' your scent.

    Back when there was only a dozen popular scents, they'd have "them all"; nowadays you rarely even see attendants, let alone cologne trays, even when at an extremely fancy venue.
