Now the price of 980Pro has actually increased back on Prime Day (Damn you Amazon!)
This 990 Pro 2TB has decreased to about $50 more expensive than the last 980 Pro 2TB deal
I reckon it is an OK deal if you’re currently in the market for one and I just ordered one myself.

Price is now $218.57 (thanks Abbi).

Why did you choose this over the SK Hynix P41?

    • maybe he wants hardware encryption

    • I mean, technically it is a faster drive. Just not sure if it's worth the $41 difference considering they are "noticeably" the same performance

  • How does the Samsung 990 Pro compare to the CORSAIR MP600 PRO LPX 2TB? The Corsair is available from Amazon US in white for $187. I'm currently looking for a ssd for my ps5 but don't really know which one to get.

      Go for SK Hynix P41.

    • I got a corsair mp600 and it died in 8 months, temps went way over the rated 70 degrees, it got so hot the pad melted and left a residue on the nvme.

  • Shouldn't these gen 4 be using heat sinks?

    • gen 5 moreso than gen 4. But most half way decent motherboards come with some sort of passive cooling for nvme drives. Otherwise just add your own cheap one.
