Something thats dropped down dramatically surely has been SSD's, i wonder why?, can buy not to shabby generic brands as low as $33 for 500gb NVME or 2.5 inchers ๐๐
Cancelled the $60 1Tb Samsung deal and I'm getting this instead!
This seems to be the best NVMe deal on Amazon Prime day.
The KC3000 is selling for more, this beats it in some tests and loses in others, overall seems to beat the KC3000, and it's also comparable to the Samsung 990.
I'm surprised this isn't voted higher.
Does look like the best deal for a gen4. Have to be careful as the better deals are gen 3 drives.
The reviews though indicate get a heatsink as it runs hot.
My motherboard has a heatsink and I'm gonna spend the extra money on fans.
I think it greatly depends on this.
I'm surprised this isn't voted higher.
Could it be that hynix has less recognition in Australia, compared to say samsung
Too little too late Hynix! I searched everywhere for this (profanity) on special a while ago and pretty much EVERYWHERE but Australia was able to get it for a reasonable price or even alongside an introductory offer.
I ordered the Samsung 980 pro from the other deal, is this one better? Looking to put it into my Dell XPS laptop which already has a Hynix SSD in it. Not for gaming though, purely as a storage drive, so I dont know if there would be a lot of difference?
If you want reliable (boot drive, etc.), avoid Samsung. They've had some firmware issues not too long ago.
there is some issue with 980 pro. Get this P41 instead. its better
But if you just need pure storage nvme, get p31 as its much better on temperature control
Bought one (ps5)
Could anyone recommend a heatsink to go with this to use on PS 5 thanks.
For those that ordered, didn't realise that the time its internationally shipped , assume from the EU by the title.
Back in stock
Delivery is actually stating its going to be quicker than the prior deal as well, weird.
make sure to apply 35% coupon, cheaper price now $165.74 [254.99-89.25 promotional credit]
Dam. Might be worth getting onto chat and asking for the difference.
Just jumped onto chat and they refunded the difference, though it was calculated in a way that actually is more for some reason. YMMV on that.
they issued a $13 promotional credit to my account, kinda funny though they kept asking me for the difference after few moments of confusion i realised they want me to get a calculator out and 177.99-165.74=$12.25 then…
To make convenience for you shall i issue $13 promo for you
๐, thank you for the idea gave up when amazon support was getting stingy few years ago
They refunded the difference even the item is not sold by Amazon? Wow
I had to fight several Amazon AU reps to get them to refund the difference of an SSD sold by Amazon US.
I find reps with Western names are easier to deal with.@FrugalNotStingy: was very chill chat, name was indian/hindu origin, got me thinking if there's periods bulk of support chats go to certain regions like india
we both requested a refund within the same hour@mantra: Sometimes I wonder if the reps that refuse to refund are the lower level support that donโt have the authority to process refunds and they work remotely so wonโt bother to ask their superior for permission.
I tried last night but they said they didn't offer price match. What exactly did you tell them?
I wanna try again now but I'm not sure if it'll still work since the new deal is over :(@mintea: it may help that i specifically asked for promotional credit and never used the word refund in my communication with them
also mentioned that someone i knew who also purchased this item got a promotional credit for the difference
like @FrugalNotStingy mentioned above might be lucky that i connected with a higher level of support, noticed years ago promotional credits rarely if ever exceeded $10 i thought maybe higher ups put a cap for these kinds of requests
@mantra: I didn't ask for refund either so maybe I just got unlucky with the rep. Guess I'll try again later. Thanks for the tips!
@mantra: I just mentioned the item had changed in price since ordering yesterday. Didn't say mention anything else.
My refund ended up being a little more as they actually looked up the wrong order (and one from months ago!), I did paste in the correct one, so no idea how they managed to get that wrong. Won't complain.
Has anyone else's order actually shipped yet?
