$200 rrp with no polarised lenses is criminal

    • Well you can get polarised sunglasses from the servo for $20, but they’re not Oakley’s.

      • ah. my mistake. these are top tier sunglasses. i see they have prism technology!

  • I actually prefer non-polarised for driving.

    Color looks ungly

  • replace my damaged Oakley Stringers

If it's damaged lenses, but the frame is good, Google "replacement lenses for Oakley Stringers". I have purchased lenses for my Jawbones and Frogskins at a fraction of Oakley prices. Can get choice of tints & polarised or not. Last lot of lenses for Frogskins came from Amazon, even had a video on how to fit.

    • Yeah sunglassfix lenses are really good for me and have refreshed a few scratched ray ban lenses/feames and the quality appears to be better (although this is probably revisionism)

    • Yeah I first went looking for original replacement lenses, which is how I found out they had discontinued the Stringer (maybe the common theme here is I like the more random Oakley models haha)

I’ve used third party lenses before in a previous set of Oakley’s but I found the fit and finish not great in the end. They would rattle around inside the frame and they started to delaminate on the edges. They were from Sublime Optics and still cost me like $45.

It's remarkable how cheap and tacky the frames of these feel. What you'd expect to find in an Easter Show showbag.

Last time I saw Oakleys Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 2. Opening credits…

You think that’s the worst thing about the movie until you realise it was a Limp Bizcuit heavy soundtrack…

    • Side note, the new Mission Impossible movie is 10/10. Honestly best movie perhaps I have seen this year.

      • Better than John Wick 4?

  • Appreciate the deal post, but I agree with most people's sentiments here. These are not great looking sunnies, and that coupled with them not being polarised are two massive deal breakers, regardless if they are or aren't Oakley's.
