Pity the Krispy Kreme BOGOF voucher isn't accepted by all KK locations
Not sure if some stores opted out from participating due to the horde rush last time the myNRMA deal was posted in ozb.

Still have the fuel discounts among others, so worth getting

    • Only like 5 KK stores shown up in search if I remember correctly

      • -1

same with the Entertainment Book KK coupons, only select locations and not close to me in BNE
        :(

        • +2

Yes true. If you shop KK often, I reckon you try Liven KK credits (Brandollars) that can be used in many stores including BNE. Tho the current deals are not that great i.e. buy $100 credit get $30 extra (~25% off) compared to the previous 100% bonus deals (50% off). Because of ozbed lately? Normally I stock up when they have better deals.

          The good:
          - no need for membership and coupons
          - buy the credit and use it instantly
          - can stack with in-store promotions i.e. $4 shake or buy dozen get 2x dozens
          - can triple stack with The Restaurant Choice GC

          The bad:
          - have to tell staff "pay with Liven" but quick and easy
          - have to invest upfront (similar to GCs)
          - cannot use multiple Brandollars packages in one transaction (maybe can ask staff to do spilt?)

          • -1

@bcYield: thank you for the tips, appreciated :)

          • @bcYield: How do you stack with Restaurant Choice gift card?

            • @rokufan: By adding it to Google Wallet and paying with Google Pay. It should also work with Apple Pay.

              • @bcYield: Sorry I don't quite understand. You can buy Liven KK credits with a discounted Restaurant Choice gift card?

                • @rokufan: Last time, a few months back, I tried to test adding GCs as payment. The Good Food GC got rejected while the Restaurant Choice GC got accepted. I still can see it's there in my app. So, I assume the Restaurant Choice GC can be used with Liven app. I could be wrong. Unlucky, my Restaurant Choice GC is low otherwise I can confirm this. It is quite easy to test out and only takes 1-2 mins.

  • Says 6 month free trial for me when I click on the link?

    • +1

Says "Join My NRMA free for 12 months" when I click on the link.

But it doesn't say 5c/litre off fuel, it says 10c/litre for the next three fills of Ampol Premium fuel. So if you don't need 95 or 98 octane, its nothing.

      • +2

I went Ampol last night, when they scanned the code, it show invalid….

        • +4

          Oh no that's awkward lol

        • +1

Lol, so what happened? Did you siphon out the fuel and give it back to them like a true ozbargainer?

        • did you check about that store , if it was participating or not ??? i have only 2 store around me out of around 10

        • Download ampol app. Gives you 4c if you pay in app… Or is it 6c 🤔

          • +1

@Bullion78: It's like BP and Qantas but every BP in SA is basically On The Run and excluded LOL

        • +2

I went *TO Ampol…… Jesus Christ

      • +1

Does anyone know if it stacks with the EG App 5c off and the EDR 4c off essentially saving 19c off 95/98?

        • +2

          It doesn’t stack.

        • +1

EG doesn't accept the NRMA discounts as that's under "Ampol Retail Pty Ltd" (ie Ampol themselves trading as Ampol Foodary or Ampol Woolworths MetroGo).

EG has their own set of partner discounts (Origin, RAA (SA), RACV et al) per the Fuel Discounts Wiki page on OzBargain.

Opened an incognito tab and offer now shows.

  • +1

Do I have to create a new account or can I add it to the account from the previous deal

    • +1

For new customers, probably a new account.

      • just use new email id. Rest can be same.

  • +1

Thank you for your sharing , OP.

  • If I am a NRMA customer already and I don't have Blue membership , then am I new to join?

    • Do you already have roadside assistance?
If you already have roadside assistance, then you already have access to the membership benefits associated with My NRMA membership and do not need to purchase this membership.

      • Yeah but I'm thinking not paying for renew and sign up as new customer. I guess only way is use your partners or girlfriend details for a new account

        • Wouldn't using a new email address to register work?

  • +1

Thanks OP, signed up and already used

  • +3

FYI If you already have roadside assistance these benefits are already included with your cover

    • Can we use their RSA in all states?

      • +1

Yeah their RSA cover is Australia wide, on the mainland at least

  • -5

Can I put title as Professor??..

    Serious question

and Dummy details, will there be complications with drivers license when redeeming deals…
    ?

    • Your receipt has been emailed to you.

      OK I professized

  • Is NRMA available in all states now?

  • I used the 10c nah litre off at Ampol last night for 95 and it worked👍🏼

    • +9

      10c nah litre

      yeah nah

  • +1

hah. To get any discount with their insurance you need to be with them for 2 years (for one policy) at a measly 5%.

Then this goes up to 12.5% if you are with them for 25 years. Geez, is that how long it takes to reward brand loyalty?

    • No you don't. I got a measly discount of I think 2.5% on my comprehensive insurance and had only been a member for nine months.

The more policies you have, the bigger the discount.

    • +2

There is no profits to be made in being loyal to your customers. They know too well that only a tiny fraction of society operate like us ozBargainers. Most are lazy and just pay their renewal without doing a shred of research into sussing out a better deal.. Life gets in the way for most.

      • This is such a true overarching statement for all things deals hey. Such a small fraction of ppl are prepared to put in any degree do effort into getting themselves a better deal and companies operate on this majority.

  • Anyone else having problems with the: Mobile number
This is not a valid mobile number
I tried multiple times, the regular number, with 61, +
    Can't proceed.

    • +5

      Ok, found the bug.
Apparently if you type it "too fast", it gets confused…
      Type it slow… :P

      • +1

Also don't rely on autofill. You have to type it.

        • Bah I hate forms like that, when you use autofill to populate all the fields, but still need to go into each one and retype the last character to pass the validation.

  • Discount on gift cards very low - does it ever increase for special deals?

  • Roadside Assistance is not included

That is the only thing my 25 years old car needs

  • +2

For existing members, I just got an email advising it's no longer called 'NRMA Blue" but instead "My NRMA". It includes 10c off per litre for premium fuel at ampol.

    • +1

As an existing member (with an expired subscription) the email I got last month with the subject "Another year of NRMA Blue for you" was very confusing because when I go to sign in it says my mobile number (and member number) don't exist.

    • Is it only the first three fill ups though? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13990499/redir

  • +1

Doesn't work if you previously had roadside assistance (in years gone by) and use the same contact details.

  • It is only showing up as 6mths free when I sign up. Anyone got the 12mths?

    • Same here I don’t see 12 months I see 6 months.

  • +1

I got $120 off my new tyres at Beaurepairs. The bloke said they have special pricing loaded for NRMA customers

    • +2

Beurepairs also have special pricing for RACV members. Or did with my new tyres in May. Probably same discount for anyone with a car club membership.

      • NT AANT roadside assistance has no discount at Beaurepairs

  • +1

    Thanks OP.
Woolworths 4% off voucher + 10% off for insurance holder = 14% off next shopping :)

    • +1

      ELI5

  • +1

Must enter credit card details. How to ensure it here is no auto renewal ?

    • I had to call and sign up as it wouldn't recognise my address. I was processed without asking for any payment details.

    • +1

just signed up today and no CC details required.

  • This is Entertainment Book and the gift cards aren't great because they're trying to claim a portion of the discount as their margin. They claim a higher portion for white label products (like 7Plus and this) because they're "free" programs with lower redemption.

    Definitely worth getting.

  • Signed up last week for 1 year free, tried doing it today for my brother and it's showing 6 months now

    • just signed up 2 minutes ago, it says 12 month

      • Oh weird I opened it in incognito and it says 12 but when I click the link direct it says 6

  • -2

    Any free Roadside Assistance?

    • hexbit punctured tread groove ;[

at least i changed it myself now

  • In SA it shows: Member benefit - Save 5c per litre on Premium fuels and 3c per litre on regular fuels.
Hardly worth it since Everyday Rewards cards accepted and get $0.04c litre off Premium anyway, and $0.04c litre off unleaded .

    • In SA, There is a 10% discount on the Ferry to Kangaroo Island.

  • Nice. Saved me $135 on car hire with Sixt.
15% off car hire, which is essentially the same as the cost of their basic insurance cover (without basic insurance @ sixt, you're liable for the entire cost of the vehicle!).

  • Mine says $0 for the first 6 months then $5?

  • +1

I received a renewal notice today from NRMA for $60/year, my free membership expires in about a month.

Will let it lapse then re-sign up for another year!

    • yeah same here lol, how long do you wait until you rejoin for free? mine expires 24/10 so i'll rejoin 1/11 to make it clean i think

      • Yeah will probably do the same, or even a little later. Will be activating 3-month membership from this deal so can re-sign up in Dec when that expires 😁

        • that looks expired the link..?

          • +1

@prankster: Yep the deal itself has expired but I purchased back then and have 3 months to activate.

  • Maybe this has been OzBargained? I tried to sign up again, new email and they said I can't due to previously being a member.

Tried another number, another address, same deal.

Had to sign up under my wifes name :|

  • +1

I just got the email that I was hoping for:

"It’s nearly a year since you were gifted our Member benefits program, NRMA Blue. Gone too fast? Don’t worry, we’re extending your Membership free of charge for another year, valued at $60.

There isn’t anything you need to do, your Membership will be renewed automatically."

    • Same here lol, received a renewal notice first, ignored then got the free extension e-mail few days ago 😁

      • Like you, I ignored the initial renewal notice.

    • Also same here, ignored renewal notice (not due until 25/10, mind) and got a free year.

Just lovely, even though I don't use it much (mostly I use it for discounted Skybus)

      • The same for me. I use it for discounted Skybus too.

  • +1

I also got a free renewal after ignoring to pay for another 12 months. This would annoy a lot of people who decided to pay.

  • Does anyone know if being a member now and using it to pay for a holiday upfront (RACV holiday resort) for next year Feb but my membership expires next year Jan if that will still be accepted?

Or will i have to show some current membership when I check in?

  • Signed up for free membership.. nothing was required to pay.. so now all set? No need to worry about renewals?

    • So free membership is available again at the moment?

  • Check out this offer to get a $5 gift voucher when you sign up to the NRMA Insurance Help Hub: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/834400. It doesn't cost anything if you are an existing customer with an NRMA insurance policy.

  • Only 3-months now available? This is what I see when I click the link:

"The first 3 months of My NRMA are free and then $5 a month after 3 months. You can cancel online at any time within the first 12 months. No cancellation fees apply. Total maximum cost is $45 for the first 12 months. After 12 months, your subscription will be renewed for another year at $5 a month. See full term and conditions below."
