does anyone really believe the RRP corporate distributions advertise lol :P
but its quite a decent price for what it is. ive checked other places already and this is the cheapest ive seen, re-badged brand or not.

Or you could just wait to get one for free next kerbside collection.

  • Interesting… the "PlantCraft 12 Pod Indoor Hydroponic Growing System with Bamboo Frame & LED Lights" (https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/1074213438…) looks exactly the same as Urban Plant Growers Ecokitchen. The Ecokitchen is $299 at the moment (https://gathera.com/collections/all-products/products/ecokit…) so this is quite a discount.

I figured they were all rebadged from the one factory but good to have confirmation.

    • I have the eco garden but paid $80 from fb marketplace. That price felt about right. It’s pretty fun.

      • Does the kit come with seeds?

What can you grow in these and where do you get the seeds from?

          Yo green legs, re:

'Does the kit come with seeds?'

'What can you grow in these and where do you get the seeds from?'

          1. No

          2. Bunnings

Beware that these are sold by Mills Brands. This company also operates these brands. Do check out their patchy records.

do note you can only grow 1 type of plant at a time, ive tried, doesn't work 😕

    • Hey horseman, re:

'… you can only grow 1 type of plant at a time'

Why do you make that assertion? That makes no sense at all.

      • You can only grow plants which have similar light cycles*, probably.

        • +1

Erm … that is a natural limitation of any 'actual' garden outside as well. Surely that is not what the horseman was trying to say? i.e. surely he was not trying to warn peeps that this hydroponics system does not somehow enable the grower to transcend the standard light/dark growing cycles of different plant species?

      • I wanted to grow tomato and lettuce like they show 5 different types of things in the photos, but the instructions say only grow 1 type at a time as it may not work.

So i tried tomato and lettuce and neither sprouted.

Will try again, but was disappointed it didn't work.

        • The fact that neither even sprouted indicates that the problem was nothing to do with the fact that you tried growing two different species at the same time. I suggest buying seedlings (for about $3 a punnet of 8 plants), and trying them in the system.
