Price of protein these days. Wtf.

    • Unfortunately prices have gone up heaps.

I'm paying $7 per kg more compared to a few years ago.

TBF this is a decent price in our current climate, I normally get this stuff and have paid ~$210 delivered.

(Years ago I paid as low as $100)

plenty of other (better) options for protein at $42 per kg

    • +2

$42 a KG is so expensive!

    • Whats a better option?

      • Look out for Amino Z offers.

Last time they did 4KG WPI for $149.99 with free delivery and $30 credit off your next purchase.

They usually have these once a month or so

        • Thanks!

Whats a good pre workout? Gorilla seems way expensive?

          • +1

@Kammi: Strong cup of coffee & Co-Enzyme Q10 works well for me

  • gold standard vs aminoz?

    • Used to exclusively be a gold standard boy but ever since protein prices went stupid - Amino z for the win

Have to mix abit more but man the flavours are so nice and it's very cheap if you can get the 50 cashback offer that's usually every 4 months or so

Choc banana is really nice and coffee

    • try VitalStrength Launch Whey Protein, very good product with high protein %. Even better when on sale at CWH

  • I couldn't believe the price of protein when I looked yesterday!

I got lucky that about a year ago I bought about 25 kilos worth of branded product was which was near expiry for like 25% of the price.

I'm still going through that, and when I looked at prices I was like holy crap!

It's probably just cheaper to eat chicken and eggs!

  • I am no longer buying protein powders. They are very expensive.

    • Wat do you use instead?

  • I try to eat clean and I eat real food.
