The dual sim is Dual SIM (nano-SIM + nano-eSIM) same as the model directly from oppo

I got mine (white model) from last year's deal. It was dual physical SIM.

Got another one for my dad recently (black model), can confirm it's a nano-SIM + eSIM.

    • Thanks. Sounds like these will be nano-SIM + eSIM then.

  • anyone know if australian/global imported oppo phones have a built-in call recorder or do you have to get the chinese variants?

    • Doubt the Australian version will have the recorder, I have only seen native call recorders on the international versions

    • I got one from last year deal. No built-in call recorder. Installed some apps from play store. They just worked for a bit of time , then stopped.

    • I got a carrier ver X2 pro and have this call recording feature added via an ColorOS update recently

      • What do you mean by carrier? Like directly network locked from one of the big 3? Telstra, Optus, Vodafone?

        • Yep, it said from Telstra but it's network unlocked. It was a a little bit troublesome to get a dual Sim card tray from Ali express to replace the built-in single nano SIM card tray but after that all good. No complaints at all except for lack of wireless charging feature.

  • nano eSIM? Not sure if eSIMs have different sizes ..

The way your ESIM works is by you copying a physical SIM to ESIM (this is an option on your phone). Once done you can then remove the copied physical SIM as it is now stored as an ESIM

        what

      • and how do you do that?

      • +1

        Thats not how it works

An eSIM is an embedded or electronic SIM card built into a mobile phone or device by the manufacturer.

and the way emails work is you copy a physical mail electronically. Once done you can destroy copy of the physical mail and it is now stored as email.

    "Qualcomm® Snapdragon® 8 Gen 1" skip it

    • I'm not up to date on phone CPUs but I thought the Gen 1 snapdragons had great gains in efficiency and reduced heat etc? What would be better these days?

the 8 Gen 1 is fantastic, although the successor to that is the 8+ Gen 1 which showed incredible boosts to battery life so definitely would be looking at phones with the 8+ Gen 1

The latest and greatest atm is the 8 Gen 2 which is brilliant

        Hope this helps

  • This or the google pixel 7 pro? I reckon these 2 are decent in their always, but so confuse to pick 1 out of another.

    • considering the same. any conclusions?

    • As a Pixel 7 Pro owner I think I should've got the X5 Pro on Black Friday last year. On the Pixel the charging speeds are snail slow, and the native camera doesn't allow pictures in a certain format that saves a lotta data.

I own an old Oppo phone too and it still gets security updates every one or two months.

  • that deal OP mentioned is still active.

  • why is this a deal when it's $650 if you were early enough to order the x5 pro and trade any old phone in?

    • cos these are dual sim. the one you linked is single only
