Omega Hybrid Aluminium Steel 1.7T Pro Racing Jack $199.97 Delivered @ Costco Online (Membership Required)

270

Been watching Costco try to clear this for a while. It was $399.97. They've knock another $200 off. Don't know too much about trolley jacks or this brand but Repco have it as a special order item for $751.

I already have an omega jack from 20 years ago, they're great. This is amazing value for a low jack.

These new ones aren't the same quality from 20 years ago.
1.7t is frustrating. Most large SUVs weigh around 2T
      https://www.costco.com.au/Automotive/Car-Accessories/Trolley… - this was a better deal

are you implying lifting all four wheels off the ground of a 2T SUV? Wouldnt you just need to lift either the front or rear of the car at a time (1Tonne) then rest it on jackstands?

You wouldn't buy this jack for SUV's - it defeats the purpose of having a low jack.

1700Kg would manage most vehicles anyway, you're only accounting for half of the vehicle weight.

  • Are these in store anywhere as often these offers in-store are cheaper than delivered etc

the 1T Engine Crane is also on clearance:

    • Yeah, that's been there a while. Looks like they knocked $200 off that too.

  • Awesome, I gave away my floor jack a few years ago and have been meaning to get another. Done!

Lift range of 98mm-495mm is pretty decent, better than the Repco low profile jack.

98mm still a bit too tall. If only 78mm like the Arcan (pity they don't stock the Aluminium Arcan anymore).

    • It doesn't matter if 98mm is too tall for your particular car - you can just drive onto a plank of wood before you start to lift the car. This is a better outcome than losing another 20mm from the max height (which you might need for your next car).

      • I do this now, would rather eliminate another step in the process and just slide the jack under.
