Previous OzBargain price $89 and comments: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758855

For the price, this entry DIY-level drill is hard to beat with included accessories, especially those looking for an alternative to the Ikea Fixya screwdriver/drill or missed out on the SCA Katana deal.

For those looking for an Ozito or titanium bits and above look elsewhere.

my comment from the last deal:

Work had a Rockwell impact/drill kit in the office store room. Not sure how it was when new, but I found it pretty gutless, even just for screwing/drilling in pine

Might be okay for assembling IKEA furniture

for $50 including all the bits probably can't go wrong as long as you're doing really light duty stuff, better proposition than at $90 from last deal

    • tbf this is a toy drill

10mm plastic chuck but i mean for $50 you're getting a shitload of bits n pieces which may be worth it just for that

i have the 13mm steel chuck brushless and its as good as any of those

  • The drill by itself is listed as $80 so its not a bad deal, its probably totally fine for DIY work for majority of people.
Anyone know if the battery is compatible with other brands?

Why does this crap come up as a result from my Makita alert set on Ozbargain?! … F off with that! … can I complain about this?

We had 2 of these at my cheap crap ass previous workplace, one would not select high gear but just make a grinding sound if you tried, apart from that they were working before I was offered a job elsewhere, was used in the maintenance of a hotel in a 46 story building Syd CBD, you'd think in that scenario they'd think better of the tools supplied to workers as it would show they value their work, but being owned by lawyers I found out that's not a priority!

First thing I remember hearing from the guy who trained me in the job before leaving was after I said 'I need a tools allowance if I'm expected to use mine" was the reply from the lawyer idiots "Buy him some cheap tools" first 2 Ozito 12v drills with NiMh bats, the batteries died in no time! total waste!

The place I went to, the owners value quality tools! and their employees efforts to do the job right.

And these are the equivalent to Bunnings Ozito brand when you buy a cheap ass P O S from Mitre10 … the company I worked for has an account with Mitre10, found out how cheap ass that company can be!
